It is sad What DH racing has become these days And I have mentioned this many times on this channel as the classic 90s track goes it’s all about the money and more TV time just added bonus That’s why they are shortening the tracks to get more TV time at World Cup And on the privateer thing looks like they’ll be selling their house and car just to enter

Sport has nothing to do with it. They do not care. It is all about making as much money as possible. I will not spend any money to see races..... not because i dont have it, just because i do not want to pay another streaming platform of which i only care for 1% of the content. Have to jet to Indonesia to chase UCI points - what has this sport come to, in order to participate? And I'm not dunking on Indonesia, great country and even better people! And there is a little vacation opportunity there as well, but the resources it requires to grab points in the northern hemisphere off-season, is just stupid.

I'm in PA but visit Phoenix a couple times a year to ride Hawes and Sedona. Usually we do April and November, cause the weather is phenomenal ... Last year I had a broken leg, so I pushed it back to July, BIG MISTAKE ... We went out at 7am and by 8:30 we were roasting. Still had fun, but we had to either be in the pool or air conditioning, and my son's flip flops literally melted walking to get breakfast.

It's nice to see racing on a different terrain and different landscape than the usual (awesome) alps! World cup circuit should always include locations worldwide (asian rainforests, american deserts, Andes, etc) allowing access to local wildcard athles!

So many betterr places to race in Malang than that track. Looked like a hastily built track just for that race. The old farmer "footpacked" trails up in the hills are so smooth and fast. I hope you got in some real rides in the area
