We go rallying! My 1986 Toyota Celica rally car!

A few months ago, i bought this 1986 Toyota Celica T16 Historic Rally car!
it was a dream for me to own a road legal historic rally car, and now its finaly reality!
The car is build to drive historic and regularity rally's, the first one on the calendar is the Rally van looi in Tessenderlo Belgium 9-9-2023!
The livery is still not finished, the car wil come in the original toyota Europe/Sweden livery driven by Mats Jonsson and Lars Bäckman.
In 1992 they took victory in the WRC rally of sweden, beating legends as Colin McRae and Stig Blomqvist!

The car looks great! I guess it will be the 2.0 naturally aspirated engine because there was a turbo version and all-wheel drive, although there aren't many of these left 😅 Good luck! Will you use it to participate in an event?

Thanks! This is the 1.6 engine. I wil drive the rally van Looi next weekend and in 2024 hopefully sezoensrally Bocholt.

@@racingreporteurope 1.6 as in the 4A-L engine? (European counterpart of the 4A-C) If so, damn! I’ve got a 1.6 4A-L in my 1986 4th gen too! Did you RWD/AWD convert it or are you rallying it as is as a FWD car?
