We Got a Brittany Puppy!

If you are not sure what a Brittany is, this is the video for you.
In this Vlog, I explore some basic characteristics of the Brittany breed and introduce you to 'Ula' our new puppy!
Some basic info about the breed.
"The Brittany was originally bred as a hunting dog and noted for being easy to train and sweet-natured. When well socialized, Brittanys are all around sound dogs, excelling as companions, family pets, field dogs. Eager to please and friendly, they generally learn quickly and are loyal and attached to their owners. They are energetic and need at least an hour of vigorous exercise every day."

I have a Brittany, she is 7. I got her as puppy and I have had so much fun with her. I’m 71 now and she has been the best companion ever. She keeps me going and I think that’s why I still play tennis and pickle ball. Love my life with her!

we had a brittany for 12 yrs lost her through illness 18 months ago. had lots of wonderful times with her still not got over losing her when we talk about her even now we still get upset loved her to bits they like they exercise and can be a handful at times but they show so much love towards you wonderful dogs

Have an 9 month old Brittany! Oh my God, is he ever a bleeding handful! The older dogs just look at him literally run on 5.5 acres w/o rest non-stop. I just marvel at his effortless agility running down the squirrels giving them hell!

Brits require 3 things, love exercise and food. Pretty much in that order. They're a dog that needs people around. The perfect dog.

It's my favorite breed of all time we have owned to Brittany's the first one was named Daisy she was a female but we got her in 1995 in Texas but she passed away in 2006 then the second one we got and November of 2006 his name is Toby and he's 14 now but a good twenty-five years of owning these dogs I love Brittany Spaniels they're the best

Why aren’t the tails docked? The breed standard is a docked tail. They look beautiful but different with the long tail. Have fun amazing dogs

I may be showing my lapse in knowledge, but how are they brittany's? Most Brittany's have a naturally docked tail. Usually not exceeding 4 inches.

They're in the UK, which made the docking of tails illegal in 2006.

You’re correct, most are born with docked tails, but some have longer tails. The pup in the video looks like a French Brittany. Black and white isn’t found in American Brittanys from what I know.

@@ajv9912 You're right, in Canada and United States, black & white Brittany's cannot be registered as a Brittany's since they only accept Brown & White coats as official Brittany's.

I had a Brittany for 13 years. Initially I was living with my Brittany, and his mother father, and grandmother. I do not consider them to be low shedders. In fact, my dog alone left so much hair on the floor that lt like tumbleweeds! Just sayin....
