This is why hard wood and tile is bad for dogs because their paws slide around and it makes hip problems progress further. Dry pads can make it harder to walk on wood floors as well, try a balm made for doggy pads. Especially for elderly dogs this is very important, be sure her nails are not long and the fur under her paws is trimmed, again the more slipery the paw the worse the hip dysplasia gets 😢 Especially with German Shepherds you need to either keep her on carpet, get lots of rugs for where she walks or get those grip socks/booties for dogs.
