As far as I know, Aizen is the only villain that is not straight up defeated and then he done. He is so powerful, that the entire Bleach world is afraid of him. They have to go out of their way to find way to restrict him cause he emanates that much aura (that is true, his reiatsu is so strong if you get close to him you straight up evaporate). Even Ywahach is careful around him. So yeah, I think Aizen is a cool villain that actually always gives the vibe off "You never know what he's up to". I do wonder what the hell arc will do with him.

To answer what happened between Byakuya and Gin, Gin successfully blocked Byakuya's Kikon attempt. Outside of knockback while in the "critical state" you can go for a Kikon move, but failure just reverts to neutral.

I'm not sure if they changed it in the dub tho 13:18 His Shikai was shown in the Soul Society and used in the Fake Arrancar arc dw There was also a regular Shinji trailer that released alongside the Jump Festa trailer. 37:33 The text in the original video says that there's a special animation for blocking a Kikon move. You actually missed an earlier parry/clash/blocked super at 29:49 Basically, your supers can fail if your opponent can recover and hold block. Whether or not transformations matter in this hasn't been explored, like if you're character is in base while the other guy is transformed, can you no longer block the other guy's supers?

Were you perhaps thinking of Kill la Kill If when you were talking about what this game reminds you of? That's the first thing that came to my mind (I wish I played that game more than I actually did), particularly with the visual flourishes, though B:ROS is way more flashy and over the top with it. The characters I wanna try first are Chad, Toshiro, Rangiku, Kaname, Yoruichi, Grimjoww, Ulquiorra, and Hollow Awakening Ichigo. Can't wait to play B:ROS! Also yeah, as a Jojo fan, a Part 4 stan, and someone for whom Kira is their fav Jojo villain... he is just not in the conversation for best anime/manga villain of all time, nor is any Jojo villain for that matter, and that's okay. I think people are hardwired to think in superlatives and don't allow things to just be above or below average and be perfectly fine with that. Part of what makes Kira and Part 4 appealing to me is just how they stand out in comparison to the rest of Jojo: significantly lower stakes and more akin to slice of life, really taking the title of the series literally. It's just a dude named Jojo having a bizarre adventure.

Yamamoto was so feared by BOTH Aizen and Yhawbache (I know it's spelled wrong) that each made special plans for the sole purpose of not having to outright 1v1 Yamamoto. Aizen - made wonder wise, a special arrancar for the sole purpose of absorbing and then later exploding with the power of Yamamotos shikai(Ryujin Jaka) Yhawbache - had the one twin stiern ritter change into his likeness and trick Yamamoto into a false sense of belief when he would end up defeating that stiern ritter so that the real Yhawbache could get the surprise kill

So the "Now or Never" thing that shows up is annoying and could be smaller but i understand why it is there. It only pops up when you will do a soul break which is doing damage to the life counter. You will see it in the tutorial as you press the R2 on the playstation controller. I am sure they never show it but if you don't press the button they will just drop it. So it's probably why they say "Now or Never" so people will do it instead of waiting. As if your brain thinks of it as a normal fighting game you will probably have to start all over again reducing your opponents reishi to do another soul break. I am sure they didn't explain that which would've been a good thing to tell everyone.

His take on Kira is so wrong I don't even know where to start. I normally wouldn't make a comment like this, but bro was literally just incorrect on all fronts. Kira's the central conflict of the story. Koichi's first motivation in the story is Kira's plot. Kira's plot is tied into most other character's involvement in the story. Also, just speaking on numbers, Kira is introduced on Ep 17 of 39 (although he's seen on Ep 12) which is chapters 65 - 69 of 174. Half of the series is introducing our cast and chasing leads on the missing persons case, while the other half is dedicated to him being known as the killer. A villain doesn't need to be there by episode 5 to be impactful. Part of why people LOVE Aizen is his huge impact on the story before you know he exists and his manipulation thereafter, and it's the same for Kira. Despite Aizen being the central villain of Ichigo's life down to his conception being an "experiment", it'd be kind of dumb to formally introduce Aizen within the first 30 chapters of Bleach, no?
