I can’t believe it we finally got rid of our snow. It was beautiful 60° and then two days later it drops to 35° and we end up with a snow storm that lasted almost 3 days and we got over 2 feet of snow. And it was a heavy snow that we could barely shovel. It was perfect Snowman building snow, but we refuse to do that. Were so ready for the summer.
The storm took out our power and we had a hook up a generator so we could have water and heat. It doesn’t put power into the whole house so I lost a lot of food in my fridge and it was pretty much dark throughout the whole house. We had two plugs working that were able to use in the living room so we can watch a little bit of TV but everything else had to be unplugged because it would drain the generator.
We also had a generator for the chickens, and at the barn, and my kids rental. After the two days of having everybody home with no school and not able to go anywhere, I thought I was going to lose it. Then finally that night we got power, and I turn every light on in the house because I was so excited to have light. My kids just looked at me like I was crazy because I actually can’t stand my lights been on.
Me and my husband decided to check out what was going on in town and go pick up pizzas for dinner because I could not use my stove. And it was absolutely horrible. Now that the snow is melting is starting to flood are rivers which are flowing over the roads.
We’re supposed to be getting really nice weather this week which I’m super excited to get the snow melted because we are absolutely 100% tired of the winter
