So because of Cell's Saiyan biology (thanks dads) Cell getting the Senzu Bean actually put him even stronger than 100% because he got the Saiyan Zenkai boost. That's why everyone was freaking out at Goku, he didn't just heal Cell, he made him stronger (to give Gohan a "good fight")

Yea, this episode's insane🔥🔥🔥🔥 btw, was the song during Gohan's transformation was sung by Paulo Cuevas. He's an outstanding Colombian singer, musical arranger & instrumentalist who's uploaded many metal anime covers throughout these past 10 years. He mostly sings in spanish, sometimes in japanese, but I don't remember him singing in english so listening to him here, in TFS, was quite the shock for me when this episode first came out. Anyway, everyone should check him out. Once again, this episode was insane🔥🔥🔥🔥

So the whole thing about Goku giving Cell a senzu bean was revealed here. He knew he had to start preparing Gohan for the future. He needed Gohan to *know* that he took on Cell at full power, so he'd have the confidence to deal with threats in the future.

i mean to be honest really with gohan was cell is right he has to grow up like yeah you wanna live a normal life but in your world it’s not a normal life….like let’s think even if raditz didn’t come you can see from trunks own timeline that the androids came and killed everyone so gohan had to tighten up which resulted in his death even if it didn’t happen you’d still have the threat of piccolo who was still evil and only changed and agreed after the what we’ve seen so far but the point is gohan is still gonna have to learn how to fight and defend the earth when others can’t like goku isn’t gonna always win his battles it’s gonna be a time when he’s gonna die for good even if you had dragon balls so gohan has to get better or even one dies and he’s gifted because he’s stronger so he has the best chance out of everyone like look at it now he unlocked a whole new transformation that no other high experience saiyan like goku vegeta or trunks can’t do not even go so far as his future self he’s is the truth the Woahan
