Hitting his just inputs was so fucking satisfying. I'm upset that there's not a heavily technical character like him in this game. Maybe Groh but he seems more technical by his stances than by input difficulty. That's what turned me off of Tira in SCV because I didn't want to learn combos specific to jolly stance and shit, just like I don't want to learn split sword combos.

So can someone explain to me how Seigfried and Nightmare can exist independently at the same time, even though in this game (like in the first two Soul Calibur games) Seigfried is being possessed by Soul Edge? Is it for player convenience? As in, both characters are available for players to use, but not canon? Or, am I missing something? I'm REALLY hype for this game (especially since I'm getting it as an early birthday present *shrieks*) but I'm just slightly confused about why Seigfried is even usable at the moment. I assumed it would like Soul Calibur II.

A=Square B=Triangle K=Circle G=X I don't remember the shoulder buttons since I immediately changed those. I know L1 and R1 are Reversal Edge and Critical Edge but I can't remember which was which. And grab is mapped by default too but it can be done with A+G too.

Problem with fighting Nightmare players as Siegfried, it's ironically the lore kind of echoed into the matchup itself. A lot of Nightmare players in my experience picked him up early in the series when he still had Siegfried's moveset. So he knows everything you can do... because he WAS you, at one point.

Kratos from God of War 4? Anyone? No? Okay... Yes, I know that Kratos has already been a guest character, but it was in a PSP spin-off game that no cared for. At least with God of War 4's Kratos his design and weapon style would be different. Instead of Greek Kratos with 2 axes, we'd get Nordic Kratos with an single axe. Imagine how his gameplay would be in this game. Dude would get 2 different CE's depending if he's in Soul Charge mode or not, just like Kilik. Kratos would be enraged in Soul Charge and would absolutely destroy his opponent.

Yea he seems like a buffed version of his SC5 counterpart (which was already decent). I can tell the first nightmare in this video mained Nightmare in SC5. He used every pubstompy move they used to use in SC5 online lol.

at least in scv nightmare's bane is the side step zone control because his wide moves are slowest his fast moves are either defensive or straight and he is scariest in a rushdown learn to sidestep was the way to just screw a nightmare

Agreed. Also in SC5, you almost never block low against Nightmare. I feel like they buffed him in this game. He seems faster, has some scary "rage mode" moves and his super isnt a stupid counter anymore lol. Everyone's gonna keep complaining about Nightmare til they nerf him. It happened in SC5, its gonna happen here.

maybe they figured that they buffed the other characters enough? every character in the game gets better with the rage mechanic... but some far more than others to almost an unfair advantage. the best thing I see in this beta is the movement a far faster basic movement and more fluid less choppy walking.
