The Noir was a great bat. I hope they haven't changed the shape for the Hypa. Anything on the front foot or a slog sweep / sweep and it pings miles. Perfect for turning front foot singles into 2 runs without any extra effort. I lent mine out last season a few times - people didn't want it initially because they thought it would be too heavy, but they always came back to borrow it again!

Great review!!! However the blade lengths is an issue for some, 540 blades are nice and GM gives allot of options, however, allot of players I know don't look at GM because they looking for more options in full blade (555 blade) lengths, and the options could be better. Noir was a big seller because of this, now the Hypa takes it's place as a real option, looking at the brava all options I've seen is too bottom heavy, if GM could look at adding some full blade lengths in the new lines would be great, (like B3 Imperium shape) or (Kook Ghost shape) In our club of 79 players all GM batsman bat with Noir, Hypa or the players bats, no 540 lengths. Please GM give us more options

I like pulls, hooks and sweeps. Sometimes i love to drive sometimes a lofted drive. What bat should i choose (not just speaking GM) If 7 need any more details to help my bat decision please tell me, im not too savvy about bats but i am about cricket please help

I’m not sure if you’ll get a professional response mate but you’d be looking for something with a high to middle sweet spot something like the gm sparq. Playing square or lofting drives will benefit from a middle to high sweet spot. If you play on a lower bouncing wicket maybe something like the maestro. But if you were playing fuller pitch balls thru cover or down the ground I’d opt for a lower to middle sweet spot like the prima

As the bat has a painted finish this will act in the same way as oiling a bat and will protect it from weathering.
