They don't even live together yet and you don't truly get to know someone until you live with them. They haven't really been tested as a couple when the honeymoon phase ends and initial excitement fades. To jump into marriage so quickly these days is foolish. Let them date, what's the rush?

I'm the same age as them and it seems this generation is waiting longer for marriage than in the past especially with how sky high divorce rates have become and many having Boomer parents who got married early and divorced. My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years, moved in together after 2 years and plan to get engaged later this year. All our friends are in the same boat, usually together for 2-6 years before getting engaged and always move in together first. Don't know anyone who gets married within 2-6 months of dating but maybe its a regional thing or within the military?
