🇦🇺😎👍Back of the 80s there was a lot of GTs , GTSs , SS Toranas, LS Monaros , Chargers , GTR XU1s , lots if Mazda RX2 , RX3 , RX4 some RX7s.. Lots of Holdens and Fords of all types. Lots and lots of panel vans decked out and plenty of women in the back. There was a very healthy motorbike culture. One pub on Thursday nite would have anywhere up to 40 plus bikes out the front . Road bikes mainly and from my memory the streets were full of cars all the way round town with lots of men and women of all ages congregating. Back then Ipswich ROCKED 🏁. The nite clubs rocked , and the drive in closed about 10.30 and everyone headed into town for a race from lights to lights 🏁. Ipswich LapZ went 7 days a week . The main nites were Thursday, Friday and Saturday nites . That was back in the days of plenty of prosperity. Ipswich had alot of heavy industry. Lots of money to burn

@@CurtisLSA 🇦🇺😎👍The police eventually shut it down around 2015 ish and now not many people congregate there . Any wonder the township has a lot of vacant shops. People take there dollars elsewhere

I remember lapping most weekends late 80.s early 90,s . When the police shift change happened someone would accidentally spill diesel on the intersection across from the old video easy.

@@DwayneEhrenreich 🇦🇺😎👍Back between 1980 and 84 I saw lots of oil slicks. The best I ever saw was from east street right up to the old auto barn at the top of the hill in limestone st. It went from gutter to gutter right up the street. They had to get in tip trucks and bobcat to spread the soil just to soak it up . That one was a whopper…. Back then it was very addictive to lap the nite away… I did take my XR8 in when it was new around 2006/7 but I haven’t done a lot since . The crooked council and the police ruined the town.

At 6:15 in the right lane is a YZ SSZ Crewman same colour as what I have. Don't see many SSZ Crewmans around so it was nice to see 1 identical to mine. I reckon Holden's are going to be so iconic and nostalgic in the years to come.

I would be hiding that VL SS Group A as that is around a 250k worth of car, my cousins one was stolen and stripped for parts 10 years ago. Same colour as well, was such a beautiful car. I had a VF2 motorsport and a XR8 Sprint that someone tried to break into my garage and nick. Both cars are now sold, bloody Victoria i hate it and i really don't want the trouble of hurting someone if they break into my house, so now i drive a boring Patrol.

its hard yes but buying a vehicle just to hide it in a garage so its not stolen is only allowing the criminals to win. Just get some anti theft devices on it . If they get past all those then yeah not much you can do
