My husband and I got married at 19 at the courthouse. Now, we bought a house, graduated with our associates degrees and have four children by 23. Honestly, the bond between you, your husband, and God is so much more special/important with getting married than having an expensive lavish wedding. You do not need to have a wedding for nobody but for you two when you want to IF you want to. Too many people in this generation focus on the wedding more than the actual bond between them and God. Me and my husband just eloped Dec 4th, 2023. It was short, sweet, and quick. At the chapel we got married at, they took lots of pictures of us for an extra charge. We love our decision. Chloe I 100% feel you , when me and my husband got married we went to the courthouse as well , and I was thinking about how everybody felt , but I low key didn’t want to get married in a courthouse because I always dreamed of having the perfect wedding but at the time we weren’t ready to have a wedding , financially , mentally , physically , or emotionally and I’m so glad that we are waiting because after we got married Jesus really started encountering us , he really needed us to work on our spiritual life , but I kept regretting it like why didn’t I wait to get married why didn’t I plan a wedding first, but I thank you I feel so much better for waiting. What you said about Essence, thats how puppies are. Thats exactly how dogs are when theyre craving for attention, dogs will do that stuff when they want attention. Dogs do that stuff when you move from one home to the next, animals are different than humans but animals are just like children. Children,dogs, cats do things to get attention, they crave for attention.

It’s also a sign that they are under high levels of stress and anxiety. Chloe using so much fragrance and toxic chemicals in her home may have been a cause for Essence acting out. Some dogs are way more sensitive to smells. I feel so bad for that poor baby. And she doesn’t read her comments so she’s ignorant to how harmful and toxic it is for animals 😭

So happy for you guys . I'm 26 and I'm in a relationship but truthfully we've both talked about a courthouse wedding when the time is right too for a variety of reasons . One of the main ones being we want to elope and not have to owe anyone an explanation but also we want to eventually start a life for ourselves together and spend money elsewhere where it counts. Tbh I used to want the fairytale wedding but truthfully I'm not sure I want that or even need that anymore . As someone who had to rehome her dog last year I completely get it. Sometimes it has to be what’s best for the dog and you. Just know that essence loves you and you did what was best for her ❤

Rehome is hard, I cried like a baby when I dropped off my pets. I had to rehome my cats (long story how I got them but basically I never had pets) took them to a “no kill” adoption shelter. The Holy Spirit told my mom to call and ask if they were adopted…. One was on his deathbed so sick (after only 9 days) and the other one was fine but not adopted I picked them up right away and nursed him back to full health!

The challenge with your dog is so real. There’s certain things that take so much more attention. You made the right decision. I’m happy my girl dog got past it (adopted her at 2 with these issues). Sometimes letting go and moving on is all the love you can give to a pet.
