“Everything just happened so fast for Hima and me. The night we met at a bar, we just clicked! During our conversation, he told me about his new brewery! I was intrigued and 2 days later, we met! We felt a connection right from the beginning-it was all so effortless! We spoke about life, our goals, and our dreams. I was surprised at how aligned we were! That night, we stayed up together-talking. We just couldn’t shut up! And eventually we fell asleep. The next morning when I woke up, a voice inside me said, ‘I want to wake up next to this man for the rest of my life.’ We began meeting often, in between chilling and talking about life, he’d even help me with house chores! In the simple things, I knew we were meant to be- he hates chai, but he loved making it for me! We felt connected-we decided that we should just stay together. The relationship just flowed for us. So in a week, he moved in with me! We split the bills and maintained our routines. And every other day we went on a date! When people met us, they would often say, ‘Enjoy your honeymoon phase.’ But Hima and I didn’t get that. We just knew that he’s my person and I’m his -time had nothing to do with it. So last month, during a road trip in Himachal, we knew we wanted to take it a step further. We were all in; we decided to get married! We fixed up the reservations, the mandap and our outfits; all in 2 days! It all felt so right. On our wedding day, we laughed and cried. As the sun set, we exchanged rings-it was perfect! You know, if you’d told me a year ago that I’d be married to the love of my life by now, I wouldn’t have believed you. So much happened in a year but with him, it feels right.
