I installed a Yanmar 4JH57 in my Leopard 47 just last summer myself at my slip at the Riviera Beach marina. With a little planning and foresight, it really was very easy. Old one out in one day, clean up the engine bay one day and bring the new engine to the dock, next day get the new engine in. I remember opening that box just like yours.

Hey guys my family and I have been watching you all for years. Also I am a Pastor. My wife and I have four kids 3 boys and a girl. I saw the smooches that Jack gave to his new girlfriend and my thought was "hey he has finally found a girl he's comfortable with". Because we have watched for years I can say we have never seen any of them behave inappropriately toward members of the opposite sex. I agree our children have seen my wife and I kiss and show affection toward each other their whole lives. We taught our kids to respect one another and others as well. We have seen you do the same. So forget the haters and teach your children well. And even after they are grown and get married, they are still your children. And because you have taught them well they will still come to mom and dad for advice because they honor you all as parents because you honor them as your children. And children like that become very productive members of our society. Y'all be blessed.

I was watching the Wynns show off their new boat (so cool! saw you in one video) and all the storage space and my question for them and now for you was: with all those little cubbies, HOW do you remember WHERE stuff is stored? I guess you kinda keep stuff near where it's needed, but in my old age, and having downsized and moved a couple times in the last 5 years (and owing homes in Michigan and Florida), I've started keeping notes on my phone about where I've stored stuff. And also a list, photos of stuff I tossed or donated. It helps.
@429nix6 ай бұрын
LoriLynn, there's an organization app I saw on a different site that does all that for you. You print out QR codes that stick to your boxes n totes and you can itemize everything in that tote. So when you're looking for something you just scan the QR code. Saves you from going thru tote after tote. And QR codes are labeled for what they are, kitchen, Xmas lights, winter blankets, etc. Sorry I don't remember the app name, but if there's one app like that, there's probably 10 others similar. Do a search.

We have been living aboard our 1987 Island Packet 38 for five years now and our Yanmar is still holding strong and is seriously reliable! We always joke with our friends on newer catamarans when they start freaking out because they have to go through a serious cut or motor into a marina with only one engine functional because we always have just one engine, lol! But, the proof is in the pudding and if these Yanmars are well maintained then these puppies can live forever!😂

Nice! Yanmar! A good friend from the 70s swore by Yanmar. One of his boats came with a Yanmar and he put a Yanmar into his other boat when OEM engine died. While they're cutting install hatches, are you going to build hatch covers for expanded access? Will you build up a 1"-2" lip to meet with a nice hatch seal to prevent deck wash from falling in the hole? What's next for Renee? Captain's license? You should!!! Kate, too. Renee, your kitchen remodel looks VERY nice and was a LOT cheaper than most home kitchen remodels!
