Great video guys and yes back when I used to farm I used pickup trucks wagons and tractors for gates. Take care and stay safe in this cold weather 👍

My dad calls that ''SUPERIOR cattle handling abilities''. And yes anything makes fence. Portable if it runs.

I hope your polar vortex weather is almost over! We've had it for the past 6 days here in North Central Oregon when it gets below 0 degree F. We're not used to that cold of weather in the winter, so have had to stay in the house and not go anywhere now for almost a week now with at least 6 inches accumulation of snow and the next few days due for more! Stay safe and warm, Petersons, including your animals!

Think our cold is finally going away. 14 degrees right now but almost 40 degrees warmer than this morning. 3 days of highs in -teens and windchills in -30 to -50’s. Don’t have to worry about mud in pens here.

What percent steers/heifers do you buy for your feedlot if you don't mind me asking?
@kendalpeterson90911 ай бұрын
I’d say we are 60-70% steers most years. Would prefer steers but we buy heifers so order buyers can fill potloads at sale barns. We also buy a higher percentage of heifers in the spring when people are over overpaying for steers to take to grass.

Awesome. Thanks for answering. I'm trying to learn more about backgrounding as I would like to try buying some calves for myself.

This question has probably already been asked and answered but why does Kendall always have his head cocked off to the left? Neck injury of some sort?
