Stephanie, The reason Grace keeps pulling away from the bottle instead of continuous feed is because the milk is coming out faster than what she can swallow and it is strangling her but she keeps coming back for more because she is hungry.

A nursed baby has much stronger suction as a rule than a bottle fed baby. This would mean Grace needs a much smaller hole in the bottle nipple to keep her from getting too much every time she attempts to suck. I know this from personal experience haha because when I had to switch my daughter to a bottle from nursed for medical reasons I had to buy her what was called a premie nipple & put a hole or 2 in the end with a fine sewing needle because even a darning needle for yarn was too big. Her first hauls on a regular 'pre-holed' nipple choked & shocked her so bad she practically refused the bottle completely.
