We Got Striper Bites on EVERY Cast! | Lake Texoma Striper Fishing

The bit is so hot stripers are hitting on every cast! I'm fishing for striped bass on a Veterans Day guided trip at Lake Texoma on the Texas/Oklahoma state line. All we did was drop slip sinker rigs under the boat with live shad as bait and waited for the fish to hit. I wasn't sure what to expect, but whatever my expectations were, they got blown out of the water!

Just went fishing for striper at Texoma this past weekend. I ended up catching a huge drum lol. Bass weren't biting this time. Even the striper guides were having a hard time. Man those fishing trips growing up going to Texoma were a blast. We'd catch shad early in the morning then go out to the islands near Buncombe Creek which is where my dad now lives since retirement.

Sounds like you’ve got a lot of great memories on that lake. For the short time we were down there, it was really enjoyable. We ended up catfishing after we reached our striper limit. That was really slow, but one of the guys caught a 35lb blue, which was cool. I did manage to haul a maybe-1lb whopper of a blue. 😂

I am loving these pop culture fills 😂! I’m from MA and do a lot of fishing from the CC Canal north to ME. All I can think of is Crocodile Dundee: “That’s not a striper… now that’s a striper.” Seriously though, they are just a beautiful fish all around and fun to catch. Cheers!

lol yeah those aren’t monsters by any means. Nothing compared to what you’re probably catching offshore. Talking with the captains on that lake, they don’t get terribly big. The tournament winner was 5lbs 8oz. Still, we had fun. I’ve always enjoyed pop culture inserts from other non-fishing KZbinrs I follow and figured it be a lighthearted way to differentiate myself from other fishing channels. I love the Crocodile Dundee suggestion! That’s probably my favorite scene from that movie. I’ll keep that in mind.
