I've forgotten just how well designed that part of the Magic Kingdom is. The boardwalk, Frontierland, Tom Sawyer Island and rafts, the riverboat, the train station, Splash Mountain AND Thunder Mountain all fit perfectly into that corner of the park. And NONE OF IT is themed to any modern Disney characters or movie IP. Just perfect!

An era has ended... It's somehow fitting that it should break down on the very last time you guys rode it... I will ALWAYS have a place in my heart. I was four when we went there. I have never forgotten that magical feeling of riding that ride as a child. It has been a symbol for so long now, it hard to imagine the park without it. Thanks for taking us for one last ride Jay.

Everyone will. Tiana’s Splash Mountain… Splash 2.0…. Splash Mountain… it’s just what people will call it because that’s what it is. If Big Thunder Mountain got Sheriff Woody AA’s and screens added to it and Disney called it “Sheriff Woody’s Wild Rocks Adventure” people would still call it Big Thunder Mountain.

Getting stuck was bound to happen lol but u know when I saw the streamers that were there it brought everyone together many sad angry confused by the change which u know I really blame twitter for all this social media has change people man I Hope Twitter goes down like took down splash mountain and other things in our childhood. This is kinda heartbreaking... splash mountain was my favourite ride and I was lucky enough to go to Orlando - and splash - in basically every period of my life... as a 7 year old kid, as 14 and 16 year old teenager, and finally as an adult a couple times after. This may seem like a "first world problem" kinda thing, but it feels like Disney is ripping off a part of my life; and the worst part is it is for this pathetic "song of South is racist" thing... I don't know, man, it's just sad I'll never get to see it again. Hope you had a good time with the gang on Splash's final day, Jay.

Back in February of 2007 my family including my aunt and grandma planned a trip to Disney World. Splash Mountain was our final ride of the night. My grandma would pass away in July 2007. Riding this ride always made me think of her. This ride has held so many memories, not just for me but for generations of Disney fans young and old. Thanks for the memories Splash Mountain.

Does make me sad. I remember going on this numerous times with my Mom. One of the earliest memories I have of my mom is me sitting on the kitchen counter and us singing "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" together. I was probably 4-5 years old. On her 65th birthday my Sister-In-Law asked for a note from everybody to put in a book for her. All I put was the Lyrics of the song. My SIL didn't get it. I told her, it's fine. Mom cried when she read the page and knew it was me. She passed away unexpectedly a little over a year later. That movie has been memory-holed. But that song was so fun and carefree. It's too bad. That's what went through my Mind when you showed Mr. Blue Bird's house.

The fact it broke down showed how many people wanted to ride it, the system couldn't keep up with the love like Dumbo. Despite my scary experience riding it and almost flying off I'm very sad to see it go. Covet that memorabilia, it is going to be very valuable in the future

I just want to thank you both for letting me relive a good memory. Story time: I've only been to Disneyland or World once (can't remember which). Really young hardly remember anything about it except for two things. 1. It was for my Great Grandma's birthday. 2. Splash Mountain is the only ride I remember riding and my Great Grandma went with us on it. She's not here anymore so it was really nice to be able to relive one of my favorite memories of her.

As a kid, I didn’t want to ride Splash because I didn’t want to get wet but finally got on this past February 2022. One and only time I rode it. It was the day it came back up after it’s referb (although it only got back up and running in like the last hour or so before the park closed). Got the whole front row to myself and only got held up once but for a while right next to Br’er Rabbit at the end singing Zip-a-dee-doo-dah. Glad I got to experience it before it closed down.

It was great that it stopped before the drop, one of the best views of the Castle is from that drop, and love doing it at night, did it during fireworks one time. Amazing.

Wish I got to ride it one last time before they closed it down. Maybe the re-theme to Princess & the Frog will be cool, the concept art looks interesting. I just think the reasons for shutting it down and the people protesting the ride are silly.

I’m old enough to remember when they made that log ride into splash mountain… I’ve rode it a lot over the years (at Disneyland) very sad to see this go. I was playing this video with my 4 year old in the room and she was completely entranced by this. Seeing the look on her face of awe and knowing I won’t get to experience that with her makes me sad. Stupid Disney screwing up taking my kids to their parks

We've gone to Disney many times Me my wife, the kid and sister inlaw and Brother inlaw. This was one of our favorite rides. Did it one last time A year ago. This one hurts a bit when you add all the other Crap Disney has done over the last few years. The ride and music is so Iconic, not having it will feel weird. Not sure how the new Ride will be, same dips and drops, but it wont have that same feeling.
