Completely disagree. Plagiarism is never okay, even when billions of dollars are not on the line. Every time I see someone on Etsy using brand name stuff and selling it to earn a profit themselves when they have zero rights, that’s not okay. They should be sued and shut down. Come up with your own idea.

@@rdeaconsa depends on the degree to which it was compromising my brand, if at all. Which is information we are not privy to in this particular instance. I was commenting based on the assumption that the brand that motioned against TFM were not significantly monetarily or otherwise impacted by actions taken by TFM, that is in light of the value of the unknown brand. I assumed instead that they went after them because they could. I may well be wrong, I admit that. But without information to the contrary, and given what I have see happen with big fish going after the little fish, and given we know this is a "multimillion dollar company" going after the equivalent of a start up, i can't help but have empathy for TFM.

There is a very popular small coffee shop in Santa Cruz, CA called Cat and Cloud. They received a Cease and Desist letter from Caterpillar Inc. They said that the name Cat and Cloud was too close to theirs and customers might get confused. That's such BS, because if they were serious they'd sure Target stores for their children's line of clothing Cat and Jack. 🙄

For everyone saying the big company had the right. Well Krispy Kreme had an issue with a logo and simply sent a letter saying to stop all production to avoid further action. There’s no reason every big company can’t ask before ruining everything for a small company. They’re just a money hungry corporation😢 wish we could know who. Even worse with them not being allowed to speak on it. Shows that big company knows it could cause backlash.
