There are tons of areas on this map never seen because of the circles. They generally end up being in the middle or south. You rarely see a circle like this video. Or even the northern part of the map.

Considering that you have no way of defending yourself while you're swimming, I guess a good tactic could be to split in 2 fireteams. Fireteam 1 (2 players) swims towards the island, while fireteam 2 (2 players) covers them in case of need. Then Fireteam 2 swims, while Fireteam 1 covers.

I don't think that's the case! Depending on where the circles land, there may be several different circle configurations that can potentially end up with the same final circle, if every spot inside the current one is equally likely. But some spots on the map will only ever contain the final circle if the first few circles land in a relatively narrow area, because of the fact that the next circle must always fit entirely within the current one, and the center of a circle must be on land. It's often the case that a large circle is encompassing some islands, but the next one can't possibly have the center over the islands because that'd put the new edge outside the current circle, but once it's shrunk a couple of sizes, it can't reach back over to those islands without putting the center over water at least once, making them impossible targets for the rest of the round!
