This week we tackled the interior disassembly of our 1976 Scamp Camper. The disassembly went farther than we originally thought it would, but we felt that it was the best option to make sure we can do all of the necessary repairs and put it back together correctly. This turned into somewhat of a careful "demo day". The flooring adhesive was no fun to get up, and we removed all but two of the cabinets in order to clean up the interior and patch and fix the fiberglass cabinets properly. Hopefully we will be able to "turn the corner" pretty quickly and get started on putting things back together in this camper renovation!
We also removed the aluminum patch job on the damaged area we showed you in our walk around video.
Next we will be moving the Scamp into the shop where we can continue the work on it, and work on removing the windows and performing fiberglass repairs!! Lots of work ahead, we are kind of going backward at the moment, but we want to make sure we get all the issues fixed so we don't have any surprises later.
