Thank you Ryan and Tommy for your feedbacks. I've definitely learned a lot from doing this challenge. I'm glad that you both thought the music was fitting well overall. I'll take the critique points to my attention. Thanks again! 👍

This is a very constructive exchange. Tommy Zee is correct on many points. He has that knack for seeing how an ad works. Noticing the music isn't a good thing when it comes to telling Audi's story. Great advice. Hope you do more of this!

Third one was excellent -- it hit lots of details without ever Mickey-mousing, and it managed to bring the "story" of the ad into much clearer focus.

Yes. It seemed to me that the music was working with the text: It took cues from the text and thereby made the text more resonant.

Interesting video. After watching tantacruls video on music without soul, I'm interested to see how corporate music is looked at here

It's interesting as someone who took part in scoring this ad how much emotion and excitement I had composing it. I think it largely has to do with the nature of this channel and what Ryan was asking of us, meaning: I wonder how many times a company just gives a raw add to a composer and says "go for it".

Nice video Ryan. Really helped get my mind in a different place after a long day at work. So interesting to see a whole different segment of the music biz.

Great great Job by Aviv ShukeR. Like the dreamy and epic way he laydown as a carpet for the whole story of that clip. Awesome. Like it. Thanks to Ryan and Tommy.

I thought the third one is better than the original! It certainly feels like something I would enjoy in a movie theatre. I am amused by the ending being "sad", but maybe that makes it more memorable somehow.

Very good & constructive 3rd one definitely worked best for me personally and agree ending needed to be a little more uplifting but very high standard overall

Aviv Shuker's was pretty good and fitting. My only issue I had with that one was how it ended. I think the impact should've happened when the ending showed the Audi logo. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. I just would've done that part a little different.

I know this is about the music but I feel like "some see what's there, we see beyond" would have been much better as "some see what's there, we see what could be" it feels more inspiring to me and is where I expected it to go when I first heard it.

The idea that music shouldn't be noticable i can understand in commercials.. but i believe it's extremely detrimental when it comes to anything that's supposed to have artistic value and go beyond. If the goal is to make very typical and by the books commercial music i see how that's a good guideline since it's not supposed to be distracting in any way, but if you expect ANY of this to stay with someone after hitting the "Skip Ad" button, you're mistaken. I'm not sure if having non-distracting music for commercials is something to strive for or just a product of how things have become, but i hate how i hear stuff like this more and more in movies nowadays.

You guys should do the Cadillac Lyriq commercial. Perfect example of leaning way too heavily into the music vs the product and leaves you wondering “am I supposed to want to see this this artist in concert or buy an overpriced Cadillac?”

The second one, didn't feel so much as an commercial for Audi as a commercial or demonstration of the skills of the composer. If the point was to "show off what you can do, in two minutes or less", then I'd have said that it was the best submission. But when the goal is to make a score for a commercial for Audi, then it simply became a bit too much. All three were very nice compositions though.

would be more useful if you first played each version completely through before commenting. pausing and interrupting to talk makes it hard to hear and feel how it all works.

Yea its a tradeoff, that would make an already long video 30% longer. Check the description for the full versions
