Oh my heart!!! I've been waiting for an update, and thank you so much for taking the time to do so! As a mommy, I welcome you to the first few weeks of parenthood -- they are the most challenging, and most rewarding, and most overwhelming days of your life, and I implore you to ENJOY EVERY SECOND! Ocean is absolutely beautiful (those cheeks!), and isn't the smell great? And baby socks? Who doesn't love teeny tiny baby socks? I'm thrilled for you both. Another bit of advice -- stop apologizing :) you will learn that one quickly, haha. You're entire life has changed for the better, and that sweet sweet baby is the centre. Congratulations. You did it! I am so very excited for you. And I look forward to future videos and things -- no rush! Take your time, sleep when the baby sleeps (I never did this, and 4 years later I'm still trying to catch up, haha), and never wake a sleeping baby. Breast pads are a lifesaver. Oh! And for a gassy baby, look it up, but you can rub their tummy spelling out: L-O-V-E and it helps move the gas bubbles through the intestines, and "pumping" the legs helps too (which I think is what you've been doing), if that fails gets some Oval (if you have that in the states) it's essentially a sweet syrup that helps to diffuse the gas bubbles. I'm sorry - I feel like as a parent it is my duty to share my any tips I can think of! Not trying to sound like a know-it-all or anything. Just hoping to help! Sending so much love! Xoxoxo

I started following your youtube channel when I saw you guys were friends with the Bethke family and because I always looked up to Alexa (spy kids was my movie growing up!). I totally understand though. After I had my daughter I was so emotional. I would cry just because of how much I love her. It was crazy. Plus the sleep deprivation is insane. You guys should do weekly vlogs, just some clips from the week this way you both don't have to worry about getting so many vlogs out to us :) also, I really really needed that WOW. Like it really spoke to me, and I felt it. I actually started tearing up, I've been praying so hard for certain things and it just doesn't feel like God is listening or hears my prayers and I keep thinking 'Why do others hear from him and I don't?' so not only do I have to be patient with the timing of things that I pray about but also patient with God. Congratulations again guys! The best advice I think I could offer at this point is not to expect/put pressure on yourself to "feel normal" again. All I wanted once I had bub was to feel like myself again, but my little guy is 3yo and I'm still waiting. You have a whole new 'normal' and it's full of sleepless nights, putting what you want/need to one side and constantly being in a state of heightened awareness of another person. It's wonderful and terrifying and (for me at least) had a steep learning curve/adjustment period. You WILL get there.

Congrats on beautiful baby ocean! As for the tummy issue, rubbing his belly with a little pressure, working his legs, and gripe water was a miracle for my daughter and also water sounds seem to calm them down if they are really fussy, not always but most of the time that works. Don't worry, the first month is always the hardest, it gets better.

I've recently become practically a second mom to my cousins. They oldest is almost a year old and the youngest is 7 months old. The time flies! Before you know it he is going to be giggling, getting his little teeth, eating regular foods, crawling, and standing in his own... and that's all going to happen in a year.
