I use old pantyhose (clean, of course) to strain the whey out of yogurt when I make it, then I wash the pantyhose out and they’re ready to use the next time I make yogurt. Pantyhose also makes an excellent paint strainer.

I wash all glass Jars from pasta sauce, zip locks and all the cottage cheese, sour cream & cool whip containers- they’re great for sending leftovers home with family when they come for dinner without giving out my better Tupperware or for when the kiddos need something that can be trashed for science experiments! I grew up spending a lot of time with depression era grandparents and great grandparents and my sweet granny would save every Betty Crocker icing jar & when she passed we found egg cartons that people had given her for her country eggs with Best Buy dates in the late 80’s! I try to reuse as much as I can and really use it til it’s dead but sometimes my husband has to remind me that I don’t have to save every single container 😅 I love the way you & Maria spend quality time together when the boys are away! It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the things we need to do at home and skip out on that precious time together!

If you wear artificial nails for more than a week they start ruining your nail bed. I used to occasionally wear artificial nails for about a month at a time and now my natural nails have deep grooves from being constricted by the artificial ones. They also cause you to get fungal infection in your nails

For leftover baked potato I halve them and put cheese on before sticking under the grill. It's like cheese on toast but with baked potato. Warms the potato up again and makes it yummy with cheese. Can have on its own or makes a great side :)

I save my jars, I use them for mixing my paint in for paint pouring…I also save some of the takeout containers we get when ordering delivery, the ones I save can be used in the microwave, oven, and freezer.

I save lunchmeat containers and all kinds of containers, large and small jars, whip cream containers for stealthy hiding of cookies, candy , or anything, clamshell type cake or pastry containers that make great cake takers and are eventually disposable or recyclable also great to go for visiting relatives, leftovers or whatever. a self confessed container addict, lol

I make compound butter when my fresh herbs are going. I soften butter and add in any flavor combination and sometimes garlic fed p. Then I put in Saran Wrap and make a roll and freeze . Then it can be cut off as needed. I like rosemary, thyme, parsley , garlic. Really, it’s whatever I have. I like to add a few pats to a skillet when pan frying chicken breasts or sautéing vegetables . I also use olive oil in ice tea Mays thst I’ve put fresh basil in (or whatever you like) and freeze, then dump into a ziploc bag. I just grab one of those when making soup or sautéing vegetables etc . That’s how I prolong my fresh herbs from outside during winter. Compound butter is so good! Your lunch looked delicious! Im glad you had a nice outing and I’m sure the guys enjoyed their movie night.

The craziest thing we wash out is milk bags (we are from Canada 🇨🇦 and our milk comes in 3 bags 1.33L each) the bags are thicker and good for block cheese and lots of other things. Compound butter is made with other ingredients to flavor butter I mix fresh herbs and pepper and place a pad on steaks yum! I love your videos they are so relaxing and wholesome ❤ Happy belated Easter my 9yr old daughter loves to watch when Maria is in the vlog too. Thanks for all your hard work

Hi Jennifer…..I save pimento jars for certain spice mixtures…I reuse zip lock bags if they have had no eggs or oil products in them….I save plastic reusable drinking cups from fast food drive thrus…..I wash and reuse deli containers…I also save and reuse zippered children’s clothing bags from Temu. It was fun going shopping a bit with you. And I always enjoy the cooking. This was a great video!

Hi Jennifer, it's called compound butter rather than composite....I wash out the plastic shaped container that dumplings from the supermarket come in, it is shaped so that they are all separated. I make my own Japanese Gyoza dumplings a lot, there's always too many for just myself, so I purposely make a lot and put them into the trays, freeze them and use them as I feel like dumplings. 12 fit onto one tray, which is perfect for me. 😂❤

Hi Jennifer, sweet Maria and family! Steaks looked yummy. Hotel butter, Mattre D butter or compound butter, it’s called many things. I keep a garlic butter in my freezer for sautéed green beans, steaks and it’s lovely to grease a pizza pan with...just gives that touch of garlic flavor. Sometimes I make it with chives or other herbs just to throw into a recipe and give it a yummy flavor. Girls night out. Glad you got your sheets and Maria was able to find some goodies. Kids clothes get so expensive and they outgrow them before wearing them out. Hope the guys had a great time. Have a blessed night!

I tried salad with cottage cheese, with sweet honey catalina dressing. It was very good. I usually eat my cottage cheese with a can of fruit, sometimes I drain the juice, sometimes I don't. Have you ever tried it that way ? It's also very good. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter 🐣 🐣 🐣 !!!!

My grandmother used to wash/rinse coated paper plates all the time. The same ones as many times as she could. The reason I think it's strange is if you're going to rinse off a paper plate why not use a real plate? She had real plates. Also the steak lunch looked yummy!
