Okay Tarilyn, to clean 🧽 that rust out of your skillet. Use a little baking soda and salt with a dab of soap. Scrub well then make sure you rinse it thoroughly. Then take some Olive 🫒 or Avocado 🥑 oil and wipe around the bottom and sides of your pan then bake at 325 for 15 to 20 minutes. Then your good to go

@ I cook with nothing but cast iron 😉. Make sure you get a good scrub brush to use just for your skillet. For normal care you can use coarse salt to clean your skillet only when food sticks to it. Otherwise hot water and scrub brush
