Deep within one of Romania's most haunted forests roams the ghost of Vlad Tepes (the real life inspiration for Count Dracula), but also a mystical place known as the Witches pond. We visit the haunted forest and became so scared we had to cut our paranormal investigation short and leave. Read more about the haunted Witches Pond: amyscrypt.com/witches-pond-bu...

It's either a barn owl, or a golden jackal, which is also found in Romania, and has a howl that sounds REALLY similar also, and looks like a small coyote. Regardless, I'd NOPE right out of there if I heard either of them make that sound in the middle of a haunted forest!!

So cool to see you guys back in my home country! As a native speaker, I'd like to translate a couple of moments. When GhostTube said "numara", the translation was correct, it does mean count. However, it means counting like 1 to 10, rather than as in Count Dracula, that would either be 'Conte' or 'Voievod' (which doesn't really have an English translation). At a 33:09, to me it sounds like 'corupția' which means corruption. Adi, which was right after is a Romanian nickname, usually for Adrian. 'Temos' would translate more to fearful rather than 'we fear'. I'm also pretty sure that the screams you heard were owls! Foxes, wolves, bears and badgers also live in Romania. The animal at 46:24 looks like a fox to me, mostly because of the white tip of the tail. I'm not sure whether there's any jackals and coyotes in that part of the country, still very smart that you guys left

I'm from Germany. The wildlife is very similar to that in Romania. The screams you have heard were from an owl. 'Waldkauz' in German. I personally love the "Hooohh.. whohohohooo". It is comforting to me😅 The "jacals" were foxes who were probably very thirsty and wanted a drink from the last water sorce around. There are no jacals in Romania! And as the city is near by where hunting is most probably forbidden they are not that afraid of humans. Maybe they were even expecting some treats from you.😂 But earnestly. That they were following you was ...weird. Even if they are not that afraid normaly they still are shy and don't come that near to humans. Well... foxes are seen somewhat as gatekeepers in our folklore. Maybe they wanted to ask and test you if you really wanted to go on. Well... you failed their test it seems.😄

The jackals are an intrusive species in Romania. They come from Turkey and have spread all over Eastern Europe and are a problem. The dwindling wolf population is a reason too, because they were the ones keeping the jackal population under control. The rest, is right though. The fauna and flora are similar to Germany.
@mir9302
@mir9302 Ай бұрын
As someone with an interest in occultism the stories about that forest and pool have always interested me so it was nice to see it investigated. I live in Central Europe and next to a forest so I have a few comments for you on what you heard and saw. The sound that you thought sounded like screaming was made by an owl. I hear them regularly here at night. The critters you filmed appear to be Golden Jackal. Golden Jackal numbers have increased over the years recently and they can become a problem when scavenging for food. Which may explain their interest in your kit. Despite being pack animals they are however not aggressive. If you encounter a rabid one it can be problem though since they then have no fear of humans. In the forest at night every sound is amplified so even the smallest animal will make a noise. Most European fauna is relatively harmless but you might want to remember that Romania, Hoia forest included, is also home to a large number of bears.
@THEBESTALY12
@THEBESTALY12 Ай бұрын
There are no bears in Hoia… Been there and I also know the area.. Most of forests from Romania include a quite large population of bears but Hoia it’s quite small and there is literally no bears or wolves.
@mir9302
@mir9302 Ай бұрын
@@THEBESTALY12 Haven't been there myself, although i have been to Romania and seen the bears. But I do know the tour-guides from the Hoia Bacui Project often tell tourists that if they are lucky they may see bear. I assume that its like Austria and any bears you see in the smaller forest are transitory.

Second comment now that I've watched, when I used to ghost hunt so I assume the tech has advanced since then. When working in outdoor settings we used to run little thermal cameras that connect to a screen and battery back on the wrist kinda like a go pro the camera would clip to your shirt. That way we could see thing's like animals while working in the pitch black.

(sorry trying not to get youtube censored they've cracked down on people again) There was another time you were doing sensory deprivation in another prison / castle and a spirit was leading jarred away from you, I could tell from the answers and the way it spoke it wanted to do very nasty things to you specifically. Probably one of the few times I was genuinely concerned for your safety I keep saying at the TV do NOT leave her alone in there, No no jarred don't let her out of your sight "Dude it's talking about how much it likes her skin it's not down the hall GO BACK and watch her!" I was legit worried that cell door was going to slam shut and lock. I've done a lot of ghost hunting mostly "Wild hunting" seen a lot of dark and evil, weird and strange also very sad things but that, that was human spirit evil which is arguably worse than demons and devils. Plus the amount of times I've seen ghost / spirits and other things say things about you two that are more on the subtle side and neither of you catch it 🤣 Probably my favourite example of that was the Dublin hellfire club when a spirit said "Sexy" jarred asked what it liked about you and it replied "her tights" and jarreds response was "Amy's not wearing tights she's wearing jeans!" And looked confused 🤣. This is another very old saying in a time when everything had to sound polite & sophisticated especially in "upper-class" when a man liked a woman "For one reason only" and another man asked why he liked her you'd say "For her tights" it means she'd fit nicely around your *whistles* like a comfy pair of tights. My great grandfather used to say it everytime I got a girlfriend "Do you admire her book collection (her mind) or her tights? (Don't want to get censored)" 😅 Anyway you guys are great keep at it 👍

@@AmysCrypt can't believe youtube censored my 1st reply 😑 if you can still see it all good but I'll cut it down just incase. Probably my favourite thing about you guys is your innocence when things subtle or even on the nose comes through and it goes right over your heads. 🤣 Especially Jarred. Tell jarred "Dublin hell fire club" when another man says your woman is "S#xy" then when you ask what you he like about her and he responds "Her tights" he's not talking her pants like he thought it means, it means "She'd fit comfortably on my 👀 like a pair of her tights!" The spirit was basically sharing its intent and being a gentlemens club was asking him to "Share". In any case keep up the good work. I'll let you guys know if something goes over your heads cause there's been a lot of incidents like that nothing wrong with it though. "Flathead" was another I saw the other day that had a lot of meaning you guys missed out on in the moment. Anyway love your work guys keep it up.

There's like a huge major city surrounding the outside of the forest. How haunted can it be.
@AmysCrypt

Wouldn't a city be more likely to be haunted given it would have more inhabitants, and therefore more deaths? Not to mention an old city like Bucharest which has a history dating back 500 years.

Weren’t you befriended by just about every stray dog in Romania during your 2018 trip?!? Animals seem to like you there. Awesome investigation, Amy and Jarrad 👍🙌 ❤ If you mix Jarrad’s rap with his hissing, you’ve got a Top 10 hit! Cheers.

Please try and debunk the Haunted Hill House and "Toby" because the evidence they capture there is so over-the-top, I think they must have hidden speakers or something!!!

@@AmysCrypt Okay, the "Toby" voice is so bizarre that I suspect the owners have a speaker system setup. Check out the investigations by these groups: "MP Paranormal" and "BARRIER BEYOND", both small groups, and the disembodied voices, hisses, clicks, and other weird stuff is beyond anything I've heard before. It needs the Amy and Jarrad investigation. Please do TWO nights there and try and find any hidden speakers... the "OVERNIGHT" channel just got some wild "evidence" there but I'm always a little suspicious of channels that always capture a ton of "evidence" everywhere. You and Jarrad seem so real, so it would be amazing to see you guys go down to Mineral Springs Texas and investigate!!!! GO AMY AND JARRAD GO!!!!

Those were foxes. They're pretty much nocturnal, so you're more likely to see them, at night. They're harmless to humans, but maybe don't hiss the next time you see one. They are cat killers.
