I have flow past hundreds of Caterhams in my impreza and RS. They take a serious level of commitment to drive quickly (and so not many are used well on track) but are indeed fun. I'd advocate an Exige over one personally..

Im currently building something similar to the Caterham ( Mk Indy RX5) ITs a proper driving experience, No assist, Just you & your skill, I Defiantly recommended having a go in one on a track day, Mines a self build kit but can have the factory build them for around £20K, Can get them in Turbo form as well, Power to weight is better than most supercars

Had a ride in an ex colleagues kit built one with a pinto 2.0 engine on throttle bodies. Scared the shite out of me with him driving the A and B roads around Derbyshire. Iam 6 ft 5" ,17 stone with size 12 feet,so driving it myself was not an option,but damn you sit low,and get constantly pebble dashed by food old British road chippings. Scariest and most exhilarating time of my life for 45 minutes including 2 spins leaving crossroads from 1st to 2 nd gear when the back end just snapped.
