As a owner of a silkie flock and silkies for over 4 years, I would love this incubator so that my daughter (14) could hatch out her own chicks. We have been watching your channel for maybe over 5 years and your family inspired us to get our beloved birds. I work at a private Christian school in Wichita Kansas. There are several of us on staff who are passionate about teaching the kids about self sufficient and where their food comes from and will eventually be able to include an agricultural curriculum. When I was in third grade class were hatching some chickens out of an incubator, and I was one of the lucky students who got to take one home. And I grew up with chickens, and I knew how to take care of them so when my little one hatched, I was really excited, and when I took her home, she had some other chicks that were around her age to integrate with with the rest of our chickens in our coop. I named my beautiful Rhode Island red hen Peepers. And she was so sweet she was a real good layer. I loved to pet her give her scratches she loved being scratched under her beak. She lived to be at least seven years old. She was a really good little hen. I miss her.😢

i used to make my chicks with splayed legs stand in a cup after using band aids to hold the legs at the correct distance apart. That way they are upright with the legs in the correct position while the tendons strengthen and usually corrects within a couple of days.

Loving The Content! I have had a egg hatching project recently with some pure Ayam Cemanis and Silkies and had no luck when hatching with only 1 egg actually developing and then dying soon after. When checking the incubator with a different thermometer I noticed it was 5 degrees less than what it said on the incubator display!! after $50 worth of eggs and a $100 incubator, I ended up with nothing and no refund for the incubator as it passed the 30 day return window. I haven't been able to try again as I saved up that money from doing small jobs in my spare time and just dont have the money to spend on a new incubator. I've been looking into brinsea incubators for a while. They seem to have an amazing hatch rate but the price is just too high for me at the moment. I would love to hatch out some pure Ayam Cemanis, Silkies and even some Blue or Copper Marans and document my hatches and chick growth on KZbin! I have loved watching all your Ayam Cemani content and would love to finally be able to hatch some out with a great incubator! Keep up the great content!! Edit: Thanks everyone for the likes!!

I had great results with a pre-owned brinsea mini incubator when incubating quail eggs. 11 ob 12 were fertile, 9 hatched the first time, second time I had only 3 fertile eggs (rooster too old), all 3 hatched.

We first started watching White House on the Hill in 2020 when COVID kept us and our six kids locked at home. It was our daily family fun to catch up on all the old episodes. My name is Maribel (this is my mom's youtube account). I am ten years old, and I live on a small homestead in coastal Maine. We raise laying hens and broilers and sell eggs from about 20 hens. I recently got three silkie chicks because I love how cute and fluffy they are. I first learned about them from one of your videos where you hatched silkie-frizzles from your flock. I want to breed my chicks and eventually sell chicks and hatching eggs. I want the incubator to hatch silkies and some of the eggs from our hens (like the french marans). My mom (who cares for the baby chickens) and my dad (who is an engineer and can make about anything) and I built an incubator this year as a homeschool project. But the power went out for several days and the eggs got too cold. My brother was the only one home during the power outage. He had to search for gas to keep the generator going for the heat lamps and incubator. None of the gas stations were open, and when he finally found fuel a couple towns away he had been driving around with my two-week old silkie chicks in his sweatshirt pocket to keep them warm! So my silkies survived but not the eggs in the incubator. Anyway, we'd like a more trustable incubator so that we can try again to hatch some eggs. I've never gotten to see it in real-life before.

Hello. My reason for wanting to own the incubator, is that my first one, has no auto rotating equipment. I bought it second hand, knowing this, however, it gets hard to do every 3-5 hours. The second one I purchased off amazon and then waited for some eggs to incubate. I got some and on day 18, the motor blew out and I had to quickly put all the eggs in my old incubator to continue their hatch. I tried to get my money back, but by the time day 18 rolled around, I was a couple of days outside ‘the window’ of a refund. One of my chickens passed away yesterday, and I’d love to try incubating again. It’s the most beautiful process to watch, with the best rewards! ❤

Used my brinsea twice. Leg problems both times. I prefer my Silkie broody hens. Lovely to see the little guys poke their head out from under mama. Silkies are happy to hatch anyone’s eggs..

We love turkeys so much and were hoping to get to hatch some, grew up with really sweet ones. So we ordered an incubator we could afford and thought it would work better for different sized eggs. But out of 12 buff orp eggs only one hatched, and barely, he needed help out. 3/6 silkies did, we think maybe it had a hard time turning larger eggs. Scared to try turkeys in it now, and that was the point. So we could try with a better incubator.

I'm a new chicken keeper 🐥 We hatched one buff orpington and three black australops in January. Our first hatch in a little incubator found on Amazon. They are now doing so well with our rooster in the coop. I love y'all's content! You've taught me so much about the hatching process and chicken keeping. I would love to hatch some more buffs, Ameraucanas, wyandottes, and other fun breeds. Definitely need a bigger and more reliable incubator to do it. Sweet little thing, hope the turkey gets better as it gets older. I'd love to be able to get a head start on the homestead my husband and I dream of. We're on our way and we should be there in the next 3-5 years but having an incubator would be such an asset to have
