This is such great timing! Today is going to be my first sponsored upload, and any advice would be helpful. Luckily there's plenty here already! Great episode as always boys

Y’all, I just wanted to swing by and say that all of your advice on how to package a YT Short has been nothing short of incredibly helpful. I tried to create a narrative and tell a story with a video last night, and it’s gotten the most views on here and Reels that I’ve had in ages. Thinking about how to pose a hook and getting that payoff at the end seems like such a simple concept, but for some reason it didn’t really click for me until I made this video. (And I’ve listened to y’all say it since the beginning!) So thanks for the great advice as always. Keep up the great work boys!

Never thought I would hear about Garry V here, that was a good laugh.

Oohh a little note about Crunchyroll and Kyle about the SAG talks…Kyle asked if they could just have a MEETING with him to discuss potentially going Union. He offered to still do the new season without Union IF they agreed to sit down and have a talk with him about SAG. All they needed to do was have a meeting, but they ended up replacing him without further discussion. It’s totally wack because it’s #justameeting Voice actors who worked as main characters on the Jujutsu Kaisen movie (which did incredibly worldwide at the box office) only got paid $150 for their work. They deserve BETTER 👏 Thank you boys for understanding and voicing your thoughts on this. Always love listening to the podcast 💚

Thank you for talking about the stream elements sponsorships. I don't mind Raid Shadow Legends. I enjoy collecting the characters. But it's very helpful to get a career content creator to give their thoughts.

I'm so dead at the Gary V tangent. I wish I never went down the rabbit hole that is trying to understand that guy 😂 but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Please forgive me for me missing so many pods. I had a VERY busy October, but am going back now to catch up as quickly as I can. On the plus side I am now a married person 🎉. Be back soon I have to start working through old stream room pods!

ElJay is 100% right about Gary Vee. The grift that he pulls is absolutely wild and the majority of his marketing advice is in bad faith.

The DMCA time of twitch was always funny to me bc my mates would always pick on me because I’d never play music on my stream or anything I didn’t have the copy right for bc I had read the affiliate agreement and how I could have a channel deleted due to copyright issues. Losing everything I had worked for scared me so much I never tempted it. Then when the DMCA uproar happened; all those same mates were coming to me and going “oh my goodness you were right all along”. So while everyone else struggled I just kept going about my life as normal

To add to your point at 1:32:30 Eljay I have actually started going back to YT to watch let’s plays over watching twitch this past year. And honestly; I didn’t realize how much I’ve just missed let’s play content. I find not a ton of people make YT centric let’s plays anymore and it seems to be a smaller community now a days who enjoys them. But to me; it is something way better than a livestream of gameplay. I can just sit back and enjoy someone experience the wonderment of a game without added distractions. It’s perfect!

I am obsessed with understanding scams and money making, mainly because I get pitched weekly by companies wanting me to turn Stream Scheme into a course to be sold to desperate streamers. Anyway, announcing today my new course, if you bring 3 friends under your downline, you get 6 new viewers.

36:36 - it's not automated - can't say how I know but, that's got a LOT of people behind it, actually.

Different companies do it different ways, but automatic emailing is really common :)

A lot of people don't want to admit their content is bad. I started tiktok recently and only edit with joincombo and I've had a few of my clips pop off, but I also make new videos for Tiktok. It's been super easy to post at least 1 a day.
@StreamRoom2 жыл бұрын
Personally, I think Combo and TikTok is the perfect way to start posting, understand what is working, and then you can double down and polish the successful options, so I wouldn’t stress too hard but I do agree it’s hard to look critical and honest at your own content.

@@StreamRoom oh for sure. I think combo has been great for getting me started on there. I've been learning about what does well and how to do more on the platform.
