WOW!! This was an OUTSTANDING transformation on this marker. Absolutely beautiful. It also made my heart smile to see the boys helping and then as boys do, get side tracked. To hear them chatting and giggling in the background sound while doing this little girl was awesome. I find a lot of peace in cemeteries. I love to find the oldest ones around and just walk through them. One in Ironton, OH across the OH River from where I live had LOTS of victims from the Spanish Flu and also the horrific floods of the OH River in The Great Flood of 1937. Keep up the beautiful work you are doing. ♥️🤍💙🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET

She would have been the same age as some of my aunts and uncles. Her parents are certainly gone, but her siblings may still be living. Even if not, thank you for remembering her.

I couldn't find any information on this little Angel. I didn't see her name on the Cemetary Records either which I found odd. I really enjoyed this Video and the interaction between all of you. Those boys are learning a great lesson about giving time to make a difference and having fun. Great Job by all involved!!

I found her on find a grave and have added updated photos. I also found her in the death book for there. Someone on here commented that they found her cause of death and it’s sounds like it was a horrible way to go for her. Poor little thing.

Lol, love how the kids are all complaining they're going to be there all day when they just got started. I remember when I was a kid we would have started something like this and expected to be there for hours... sdo we'd want to do it on a school day to get the day off lol. Seems they also waste a lot of water so they need more training as well ;P But you guys did a great job here and I'd like to see it after the rest of the black comes off... and hopefully doesn't turn orange lol

Did you not stay for the before and after photo at the very end? It looks amazing now. And yeah…they definitely wasted water, but I only use rain water that I collect in my barrel in the garden behind my house. So I feel that’s not AS bad. Lol.

@@VirginiaTombstoneRevival yes I did but remember even in the video you mentioned the black parts that remained and that they would fade over time as the D2 continues to work. And, lol, you're the one who mentioned that time the monument you worked on turned orange ;P Even on videos I don't watch all the way through I skip to the end. I watched this one all the way through as you guys seemed to be having fun. Sidestep Adventures, who I mentioned before, does the vast majority of their videos in cemeteries that have been totally overtaken by woods and they leave a lot of those relatively untouched as they do more exploring than renovation and they like to visit old slave cemeteries more than anything where they often do very little because it's often just the host by himself and even when he tries it's just one man and he can't do much by himself. I have often suggested bringing kids to train them and instill some respect in them for the past and maybe to get local schools involved to maybe adopt these cemeteries so they could make it into a school project... he doesn't listen or communicate with his viewers like you do so you get the feel that while he can be entertaining that he really doesn't take these things seriously. History and archaeology go hand in hand so if you find any abandoned cemeteries that no one's caring for, try to get the local schools involved and do some shows when you know they have a class there doing some work. Kids have a keen interest in these things and since a lot of the older, poorer families used cement and field stones for gravemarkers that have since been scattered or worn away, maybe the old kids could do some crafts with cement making new stones. So you're doing good getting the kids involved even if it might be more for fun.

I was actually thinking that it would be amazing if groups of soldiers (I live in a huge military area) would come out each May or every couple months and clean up the veteran headstones. I think that would be amazing. Sadly, I no longer know anyone in high ranking positions as they have all retired. I have been on the search for old abandoned cemeteries to clean up myself as that would make me extremely proud to sweat on. As for the D2….this after photo was taken about a week and a half after the initial cleaning….so there’s a very good chance it will get even brighter, but that may depend on the stone also. Not sure. I always go out and revisit the ones we do to check on their condition.

You mean what did we spray on there? It’s called D2. It’s the best and safest thing to use on headstones from my research. And the results speak for themselves. It’s pretty amazing. They don’t sponsor us or anything, just an honest review.
