No energy not the problem having to click different power spots to collect it and needing 50 xl candy to unlock level 3 on each move hurts on hard to get candy pokemon because you still need 296 xl candy just to do the normal cp power up and that even hurts for easy to get candy pokemon if you want more of each pokemon on your team. should have energy for power up and raid gym pass from clicking each power spot for the raid part.

Too many XLs needed to power up dynamax. Then there's the unknown double ups, meaning Dynamax Gengar came out, few weeks later here comes Gigantamax Gengar. I just spent all my Gengar XLs getting level 3 on all max moves for dynamax.

The son and I took six months of casual playing before we were able to start taking on easier 5-star raids. Now two years later we’ve got the mons to have an epic time trying to duo Articuno. Loving the build up, the strategy, an epic goal. There’s lots of raids for giant groups. It’s nice having the occassional moment that all the weeks and months of strategizing and collecting all come together and pay off. There’s been lots of opportunity for beldums and Charmanders, little playing here and there, community days, dropping mons in Max raids, use Megas and bonuses to boost regular and XL candies, etc, lots of options, to at least get good decent counters to contribute. I can understand the frustrations with set backs while learning the strategies; but When we just had starters we never expected to walk up and take on the five-star raids. If the game lowered the difficulty for us, how would that be fair to the ones who’ve been playing for months; or have those epic moments when it all comes together.

I blame Niantic for not clearly communicating whats needed for these. I didn't know it was 4 people max. Private lobbies would have fixed a lot. If someone doesn't have good counters they shouldn't be able to enter them in the raid.

Yeah, to start with this is a ridiculous Winter/Summer whichever hemisphere you live in. Limiting it to 4 players is a joke. Not allow private lobbies means you get so many issues like you've described here. Not allowing people to participate remotely and making it not soloable also means people who are differently abled, or busy with their personal or professional lives, or don't have the time to dedicate to coordinate locally, or can't meet up with enough others locally can't participate since they can't invite people to help them remotely. The whole Dynamax/Gigantamax system is prohibitively resource-intensive too, requiring so much stardust and candy to power up newly caught pokemon and unlock and level up all of their Max/G-Max Moves and add second charged moves, all whilst limiting us to only collecting and storing 1000 dynamax energy per day. The system needs an overhaul before I'll engage beyond soloable Max Battles.

it would be simple to implement a priority system by ustilizing the party feature. if your in a party and join a battle, your party members get first priority to join in. those (like me) who play mostly solo can hop in with other solos and parties under 4 people after the priority time has been met. my biggest gripe is the mechanic when 4 people join you have no prep time

Grabbing a few of these birds to farm candy with later down the line is a great way to gather the resources to power up the galarian birds. Wish you could also farm XL candy though from the 'mons left at power spots. 55 XL candy to level up a max move on a legendary is very inaccessible.

Cool. Good video. You guys seemed to have perfect Articuno themed weather for the dynamax raid. The peoblem incountered was whsn choosing my pokemon for the raid. I would want to choose my Incinerace but wod choose my raboot or haunter. And i also encountered the screen freezing with a blue-ish screen. Then another pdrson next to me had the same issue. So, there is some fixes that need to be made like make the event 2 hours and at least make it a 5 player private lobby like you suggested. Thanks for the video. I lost some three person battles when the other people were using trash like Wartortle, Charmander, or Falinks. Then I had some four person battles where everyone was prepared and we didn’t lose a single Pokémon and likely could have duo’ed it. And after not getting a single shiny max Pokémon in all this time I got two in a row with Articuno lol.

I only met up with 2 other people (one had 2 accounts). They were all dead before the Articunos was down 1/3. I ended up getting it all the way down to like 5% left and fainted. So I almost solo'd with 2 Metagross and a Machamp. If I had 3 metagrosses, I would have beaten it.

This dmax legendary raid is so unfun and tilting to me. First , I got a lot of leech players joining raid w/o any upgrade and made raid impossible to beat. Second, people tends to leave game immediately once they see leech players. Or low level players in the room or even after we start the fight. Third, Articuno is quite a bit too hard to catch with 10 balls. And they are SELLING 10 balls or 200 coins per raid which is so ridiculous. After we spent 800 particle which is entire stock of daily max particle. Then pass through the annoying lobby system and finally won the😮 raid. We STILL sometimes unable to catch it. They make the raid hard to play, made lobby system become annoying. Also, made legendaries hard to catch. Then, selling balls and mushroom which are solution to the problem.

It’s been a non-issue. We do have a built-in party of four, but none of us really have lvl 40 mons and I have not maxed out because it requires so many resources I’m not willing to use for a non-hundo dynamax. We strategized and put together our attackers, healers, and tanks. I agree with private lobbies though. Also, we try to target max spots with Pokémons in the spot (but this may be rare since no one is battling). I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it because we actually strategized leading up to the battle and my husband caught a hundo Articuno today and 3 of 4 of us have the shiny.

The no private lobby may be frustrating for some. 4 players trainers is fine. Articuno was challenging. My family and I played with strangers without communicating and we did fine, my son was being carried hard his pokémon sucks lol, he just started. We couldn't be in the same lobby, it is what it is. Might need to increase the lobby size for legendary or 4-6* max. Also experienced the something but we were indoor in a mall with MULTIPLE floor so yeah; not everyone was able to join in the same lobby even if we entered within the same minutes. Think it like the first Gigamax where even group of 20 had difficulty... and we can just wait for adjustment. Also maybe full lobby can start after 30 seconds.... it is sometimes not enough time for people to 'change their pokemon' Not sure why the auto pick used other pokemon instead of Metagross. I had enough time to change 2-3/3 of my pokemon because I changed the pokemon orders with Max CP. It might not be possible as our dynamax collection grow.

4 is fine. It means you actually need to invest. First giga were a struggle because people weren't really investing. Most were running with 1600- 2000 cp because that was enough to beta the 3 star we had out. We didn't know how are they were gonna be. After people figured out you need to invest and come up with a proper strategy. Most giga become a non issue unless they get a very particular attack.

i feel the idea of the game is to challenge everyone. if you are given everything to easily then it would be as fun. i like how there is only four and yeah spoofers exist but i have nothing against them. and honestly if they watch the game then they should be able to tell what move to do. i think this is fine. cause everyone is expecting everything on a platter for them and forgot how hard it is to work for something. and if you don't get it, you don't get it.

This sincerely come down to poor app management. I have a total of 5 friends i know who play (ed) only 3 play now. They are too stunted to actually party up and play together idkw. Then the rest of my 40 friends are from across the world. Shadow raid day was a good example of what to do my friends and i were inv to raids all over the world it was legit so much fun! Then they go and hit you with the good luck only high level trainer. I walked to the beach found 2 random trainers both level 38 we still couldn’t break past high yellow… granted i have not played for a while. But these were randoms… imagine how happy the player base would be if you could invite people to these battles… so (everyone) (LEGIT EQUALITY) can have a good chance to catch them. I have 7 final evo dmx pokemon all with the abilities. Still wasnt possible. Oh yea and ta boot its fucking freezing outside and these geniuses cant figure out were all in our cars. I get what the game is supposed to be but wheres the leniency for idk disables people/ sicks people / people who live in the middle of know where. Half of the negative things would go away if they just made the game more accessible…

I got 4 from 5 no shinys my brothers partner got a shiny no hundos tho but yeah we went in unprepared we only took it down half health so we all ended up paykng for a mushroom each cause we live pretty rural but yeah we ended up doing good we all worked together witch was fun cause usually we just smash every dynamax so yeah was fun us all using metagross and when we went max we would all swap to zard and bang it so hard was fun asf cant wait for Zaptos and moltress ❤

The problem I had was not being able to do private lobbies since a smug cocky kid kept taking my spot thinking he was better but overall was getting taken out first and crying about it while giving one of my friend shit when overall my friend lasted longer. I legit had to whisper to my friends to join my lobby while the kid was healing his Pokemon and in the end me and my friends beat it while the kid kept asking if we joined one when he had his own group but joined up cause his group sucked

Is it crazy too though to just ask them to let us use 2 groups of 4 like so many of the issues wouldn’t even matter anymore if we could have more then 1 group of 4 the whole point of them eliminating unlimited remote raids is because we are supposed to go out and socialize with the community IRL and now we are trying to meet people to help with these groups and they are like walking back on that same sentiment Gigantimax can have what 10 groups of 4 so why can dyna have 2 groups of 4?

it can be take down by 3 people atleast each mons is lvl 30-35 with right moveset even if not leveled move and also rng of articuno moves not to oneshot your pokemon

It’s not about being lazy it’s about not being a dork and waste resources that you don’t have not everyone is throwing money at niantic to power things up that simply aren’t worth it especially if you already have things better that aren’t useful because niantic wants to be incompetent, not everyone is going to summit to that behavior, make these max battles available to remote raid and maybe more people would take max battles seriously

I got a shiny after my third raid and i had my own 4 party group and beat it with easy 3 noobs and i carried with easy

We had no max pokemon and I got 3 easily. This wasn’t hard, metagross, machamp, gigantamax toxtricity, was 2 of us CP was 3100,3009,2800,3000,1800,2200, then everything else under 1600 and it was super easy and fun.

Why do you need a private lobby for 4 people? If you are coordinating with them, you all click on the battle at the same time and you are guaranteed to be together. A spoofer will not be able to react to a 1-2 second jump in lobby. If they somehow did, then you all just bail. Easy. I caught 5 with my group and we didn't experience any issues.

There’s no excuse to limit a 5* Dynamax raid to 4 people unless they are trying to get players to buy the mushrooms. When you have 5 * raids able to have 20 trainers plus the ability to party play for extra damage Niantic showing how Greedy they are.

The excuse is. Invest. The shits not hard. Invest soem candies in leveling up cp and skills. Don't even need to max the skills. People wanted a challenge and here they have one. What i most frustrated about why do they change the dynamax articuno to a different pokemon that i don't want because i want to have at least more chances to battle the articuno this week which they not going bring it back anymore after this week. I actually power up all the neccessary pokemon i need to battle which I actually prepared myself earlier on when they announced the event so i won't worried about it🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ but nope making it harder for no reason lol 😂

Carrying is fine to an extent, but this is a legendary pokemon… showing up with a level 20 charizard is unacceptable in my opinion. Dynamax pokemon have been around for months, no reason for not powering up counters by now

It seems you didn't have the problems we had in our group where we couldn't swap pokemon. Imagine tapping on Metagross to swap it but nothing happens because the servers are overloaded! 800MP is expensive 620 or 650MP would be more appropriate. And my biggest problem how can one attack destroy 3 shields and 60% of a pokemon's HP? LV 50 shield LV Max Machamp!!! yes it was a Hurricane attack but what is the use of a shield anyway? And the Hurricane attack doesn't even stay when you catch Articuno! When we have D-Max Mew will it have all possible attacks?!😅
