@davidhaddad9022 I've gotten in debates with many Izzy fans who claim that Izzy is the more humble fighter and that they were happy to see Izzy humble Alex. Izzy fans are delusional and truly believe that Alex is the "bad guy" in the story of their trilogy together. Its quite the opposite though, Alex came from nothing, struggled with alcoholism as he grew up, turned his life around and defied the odds as an underdog to reach greatness. It was all hard work and dedication, because he didn't have money to afford world-class trainers. Whereas Izzy grew up in a rich family with everything handed to him, world class trainers because he could afford it, and it surely showed in his ego. Anyway, yes people say this about Alex all the time, but it's because they are dick riding Izzy and they refuse to look into who Alex actually is. Their only perception is what Izzy has expressed about him.

Alex gave the best reasoning I've heard from anyone why Izzy shouldn't get the rematch immediately. Made sense with Alex cuz, like he said, he was losing the fight with Izzy, until he got the knock out in the end. So to prove who the better man really was, a rematch was warranted. Sean dominated all 5 rounds. Yes the 2nd went to Izzy, but all off optics, no damage was done to Sean. Izzy deserves a rest, and then to get back into it. If he rushed in now, and LOST again, it would potentially affect his mental, so better to take some time and recover and reassess a new game plan. I have no doubt Izzy will get the belt back, but think Sean will hold onto it for a couple fights. A great match to watch. Sean put on a masterclass against one of the best to ever do it.

It helped but probably mostly with confidence. Getting those sparring sessions in for Sean was probably critical for his ego since the fight went so poorly. He had to know he belonged cuz he considers himself a world class striker. If he would of done a whole camp with Glover at that gym then yah, but what you saw in the fight was Eric Nicksicks system at work, Sean's improvements were of his own doing, any Gym would say hey check leg kicks, or circle. He implemented the changes. He's a weird guy.

I've been a fan since you first fought against Izzy in the UFC and now you've made me a bigger fan because of this video! You've shown to be a very insightful, honest and very objective in your analysis of how Strickland won vs Adesanya and why its a good idea for your nemesis to rest awhile before trying to regain the title. Not very many would be able to resist claiming credit for helping the brash American upset the brash "Stylebender" but you did. You are the Man whom is your way to win the LHW title. And I see a great future for you as a fight analyst and possibly a movie actor as the Silent Assassin. Blessings!

Dude you are taking away from Seans winning, do you know what 4 weeks training camp involves, the coaches behind the scenes and coming up with a game plan for this fight?? Sure Sean may have gotten some tips.. but Izzy and Alex and Sean are totally different style fighters.. Alex relies on power and has decent defense. Izzy relies on counter striking and keeping out range, decent defense. Sean relies on great defense, stamina and simple jap and right straight and straight kick to body (this fight agisnt Izzy that's what he did)

Much respect to you champ, you are one of the best combat athletes to ever walk this earth. I watched you win your LHW Glory belt live to become Glory's first ever double champ. I knew instantly after that fight you were truly a special fighter with once in a life time skills. I've sparred Sean once so I knew what he was capable of versus you, but he definitely let the pressure get to him. True to his ethos as a real martial artist, he went to you to get better and see where he went wrong and what he can improve on. Before hand I thought he would've been a tough match up for Izzy. The pressure and defense is really really hard to deal with if you're not an in-the-pocket type guy. The second you said you thought Sean had the best chance of winning, I knew you were right and I knew I was right. One of the best bromances I've seen in MMA in a long time, and you guys can't even talk to each other directly. But you both understand the grit and dedication you both have poured into this sport. I think Alex just knows that plain and simple Sean is tougher than Izzy and if it was gonna be a dog fight, it was gonna be sean's night. Props to you, you truly are Izzy's daddy. Would love to see you with the light heavyweight strap, double champ.

Alex Pereira is no champion. You're not the champ until you register a defense. He immediately lost the belt and never defended it. He's a 1 trick pony with zero skill, zero ground game, zero dimensions to his game. He's subsidized by the UFC as evidenced by the highway robbery of Jan Blachovich. You're a disgrace to hard working MMA fighters who have to earn their fights. You're a subsidized can, Alex Peererra.

I loved how Sean made Izzy pay for sticking his hand out to measure distance. The hybrid arm drag to right straight, Izzy stopped that ish in the 2nd round. Also the Teep when Izzy squared his shoulders through the whole fight took Izzy's forward movement away. I think Sean may have broke one of Izzy's lower ribs in the third but the only poss tell was the labored breathing from the 3rd on. Moving dynamically in any direction with broken or bruised ribs is very hard. Just my opinion, maybe I am wrong but it seems realistic.
