Poppy I suffered with hyperemesis gravidarum (really bad nausea and couldnt keep any food or water down) I was in hospital to hydrate few times. It was HELL. I found that smelling the bodyshop mango soap helped me and smelling a lemon (I would literally sleep with these things by my nose- tried EVERYTHING and these 2 things gave me temporary relief...didn't help also that I was very young and had no support so I would imagine having Jay to bring you food, water and give you space from the kids helps A LOT) xx

Massive congratulations! I have a stomach and pancreas condition and feel sick and throw up 75% of the time. The thing that I find that helps most that doesn't include taking medication is 20min naps (if possible) and eating little and often, I don't ever eat a big meal. Obvs this might not work for you, but I thought worth mentioning, hope you feel better soon ❤xxxx

Nausea is hugely linked to a magnesium deficiency aswell so look into taking it and it helps soo much ❤ congratulations to you both xxxx

oh my gosh I’ve had the laughing crying thing too! One minute I was laughing my head off about something and then suddenly there were tears streaming down my face and I started sobbing about nothing! I’m due in August too I haven’t announced yet I’m early too but yeah there is the stigma around 12 weeks so I don’t know when I should announce I don’t think there’s ever a right or wrong time but I’m waiting for my first scan in a couple weeks x

Aww congratulations!!! ❤ I'm totally with you on sharing the news now! It makes more sense to go through the journey with everyone from the start, than if the worst was to happen having to explain to friends and family that you was pregnant and now you are not. What difference is it telling people at 6 weeks or 16 weeks if your going to tell everyone good or bad news anyway 🤷‍♀️ wishing you all the best xx

Congratulations! I am currently 28 weeks with my second and was so unwell with sickness this time around, hope it doesn’t last too long for you! I announced my first at 6 weeks but we waited until 13 weeks with this one as I was really anxious after miscarrying in May but understand your reasoning, I just think its personal to everyone 😊 also, I haven’t found out with either of mine - its such a special moment when they are born and there will be no gender disappointment when you have your baby in your arms!

I went through miscarriage alone at the beginning of 2022 and it was awful. I still had my partner and family to talk to but it would have been nice to relate to someone who had gone through the same thing. I ended up in a&e through losing too much blood because the pregnancy tissue ended up stuck in my cervix and then had to have it quickly removed with speculum and forceps no pain relief and was wide awake for it. I was so scared. ☹️ I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant now with a baby girl ❤

Planned as in actively trying for a baby. I track my periods/ovulation and we would only have “unprotected” sex on the days I’m most unlikely to get pregnant. I’m not able to use the pill or coil or patch, any synthetic contraceptive because it makes me very poorly. Evidently I ovulated on a day I was not suppose to. That being said I’m so happy for this blessing. When I said very unexpected I’m exaggerating, obviously it was not totally unexpected because if you’re having unprotected sex of course it’s possible to get pregnant however we weren’t actively trying so when I say not planned that is what I mean.

Having gone through a missed miscarriage & finding out at the 12 week scan & then having a 23 weeker who passed at 10 days old, with my 3rd I didn’t announce it. 12 weeks is not safe, no time is sadly. It does shock me how people do these massive announcements and gender reveals etc. makes me anxious, as it seems they are so confident it won’t happen to them. I do think it’s important to remember it can happen to you. On one hand I understand, as if it hasn’t happened to you before then you don’t know any different. Perhaps they just know that if something bad happens they will still talk about that child and share their story. I talk about my 3 children, not just my youngest who is physically here

@@KGate222 well I think that is good and important. When it happened to me it made me realise that many people don’t share. So many people think that 12 weeks is a safe point. With my second child it wasn’t until 16 weeks where things started happening and I had to go to theatre to get my cervix stitched closed to keep her in.
