If I won, I'd take it back to "the" farm in northern Michigan and give it to my sister who now owns a small section of the farm - for her large gardening projects. I used to have, some 55 years ago, a Ford Ferguson. Wide tire wheel base, hydrolic lifts for a plow and in the rear. Made a lot of $$$$$ plowing snow. Had a flat plow and bucket with an easy interchangable hookup. I love your tractor, soon to be mine. I'll pick it up in SD and take it to Michigan. close transport. At 70, it would be the first thing I ever won of any consequence. Positive thinking goes a long way. Love your Video's and your old man reminds me of my old man!! Love it.

My grandpa always kept horses on the farm to gather and work cattle but when he passed away that was one of the first things my dad did was stop using horses and went first to motorcycles then later to three-wheelers then finally to four-wheelers and side by sides. He always said a bag of feed was worth at least three cowboys and horses when it came to gathering cattle.

Spring may be early this year. I heard some Canada Geese flying by my house in Winnipeg, Manitoba and that is very rare for the first week of March. Nature does not make mistakes and I suspect they know it will be a early spring and some are arriving. It has been around 32F/0 C for a few days and not going to change soon. So yeah your mud may be here to stay.😊

I grew up on a small farm in west central MN. I now live in Fl. If I won the tractor I would bring it to florida and restore it. I can relate to your father saying his dad told him to put down the stick and get out in the field, My father said the same thing except it was not that nice, he also added on the words- and when you get done in the field hurry up and feed the cows and then get the tractor ready to go for tomorrow morning!! And don't forget to check the d--- oil.

@SonneFarms4 жыл бұрын
2 things. We personally are using them to tame the cattle down. They like the taste so they are willing to get close to us to eat them, then they get used to us being around them. The other is that they are high in protein which is good for building muscle and they also have fat in them for energy.

Yeah we're at 7 babies, we tag boys left ear and girls in the right, and if the heifer gets to stay on for breeding we give her the left tag too, oh and we nut ring at 2days old. Man you should come see our coral drainage system, run 2 four inch pipes under the pens with a perforated down pipe in the fencelines to receive surface water, then dug a lagoon for it all to drain into, normally only empty the lagoon onto the pasture with a long hose (3") once maybe twice a year, as you know muddy teats aren't good for calve health. Ps. remind me never to drink the wine yer dad makes.
