We had a cow that birthed her twins pre-maturely in a previous to this video. Luckily, one of our friends has an old cow that had a calf that she was not going to be able to support, so we were able to give this mother a calf and keep her on the farm. Also dad dumped hay in the feed wagon too fast and plugged it hard.... Nice going
Welcome to Sonne Farms! On this channel we showcase numerous jobs a Corn/Soybean/Beef producing operation takes on each day. Hop in the cab or sorting alley with Cole, Brian, or Jeff, and see how life really is for the people that help feed the US and the rest of the world. In addition to Corn, Soy, and Cattle, Sonne Farms puts up grass and alfalfa and sells pure bred Black Angus Bulls.

It's good seeing others getting animals to adopt the the young of others that wouldn't be able to look after there own. Why do you have to cull a cow with no calf.? Can you not hand milk a cow, and slowly reduce this until she's dry again,? Is it that this is too much work, could it not be a surrogate to a twin or a calf with a mother that can't feed it's calf for what ever reason.? Or am I missing something.? (I know nothing 🧐). I'm learning every time I watch one of your vids. Keep 'em coming. Love you guys.🥰🥰 Rich UK 🥰🥰

Be thankful you live out in the boon docks. You're much safer there right now than in town cooped up with other people. Here in Louisiana, we've lost 16 people (14 in the Metro New Orleans area) to the COVID 19 virus in the past week. I think if the human race survives this epidemic, you'll see a lot more folks leaving the cities and heading back to the country to put a little space between them and their neighbors!

I have a question about your farm, if you don't mind: Your farm is referred to in a plural sense, implying that your farm is multiple land parcels in one. And you sometimes say "North farm", etc. I've seen farm real estate listings that show multiple land parcels that are all in the same offering, but are not all contiguous, but still close together. Well, is yours multiple land parcels in one? If so, how did it get to be that way?
@briansonne814
@briansonne814 4 жыл бұрын
Over time in your farming career it is not uncommon to add acres to your operation. Contiguous is very nice but it is not always an option. Often times when you buy an old farmstead you continue to call it by the previous owners name in order for the people working in your operation to recognize what piece of land you are referring to.
