As a long time Eagles fan Ive seen mpre success than most. When weve done we havent been for long, so hope this isnt the case. Just chuffed to see what a phenomenon Reid is, and how Waterman has come out of nowhere. At home we're playing exciting footy, so just glad theres some improvement.

The latter 1/3rd of the year he was getting grabbed off the ball, tackled when he didnt have the pill, his run into marking contests were obstructed.. opposition teams used all means fair and foul to stop him getting his hands on pill.. and the umpires did nothing.. I feel for North fans. That is the downside of the draft, it is amazing that it is helping struggling sides to improve/rebuild, but it also punishes winning and disincentivises winning when your do not look like making the finals. Happy for the Eagles though, they needed this, Reid will be a crucial piece in becoming a contender side again.

It is the exciting, positive energy/outlook and hope he brings to the team, club and fans with his future potential of being one (if not the best) player in the comp who really makes the difference. But you are right in that the Kangas look hopeless and aren’t a club where you want the best talents at as of now. I thought of that too. You would still help weak sides but the incentive for tanking would be much lower. AFL should definitely think about that

Reid is special. Hes a hybrid player like the martins,de goeys and stringer.but the difference with him he’s doing it straight away. Much more entertaining player then the likes of daicos,walsh and Neal.

Rubbish Headline. Rowell got how many best on grounds in how many games in his first season before injury. Reid won't get that the whole Year and Ya can't play Melbourne every week and then 14 touches the week after. He's a good player, not in Daicos' class and the only young player close is Sheezel. Won't be at Wet Toast for too long.
