About a decade ago, Kuantan, capital of Pahang, had been visited by thousands of very big butterflies all over the city.

I can gladly say I've also helped release 1 young butterfly and witnessed it taking its maiden flight in there several years ago. Maybe it had taken its last flight in there too! 🤔 The tickets were also cheap, idk about now. Enjoyed it as well 👍 Great video again!

@TalesFromOurPocket when in your intro, I saw a beautiful moth. They rest with their wings flat. Butterfly is always upright and together. I learned that a few weeks ago from my friend, who's a biologist in Laos

My mind is blown that they're different! Now we'll always know which type we're looking at. Thanks!!

@TalesFromOurPocket also the antenna is different. The body shapes. Moths are bigger, and butterflies are slimmer. 👍

6:54 Did you know this particular butterfly that you mentioned is our National Butterfly of Malaysia and it is called the 'Rajah Brooke's Birdwing Butterfly'. It is named in honor of Sir James Brooke, the first White Rajah of Sarawak. It is also the biggest wingspan butterfly in Malaysia.

Yup those black and green butterflies. Used to have postal stamps for them, back in those days when snail mails were flying high 😬
