I took a neighbour's son to Wolves to watch football many moons ago Liam. In the posh bit behind the directors' box (not trying to brag I promise). The lad was about ten. Steve Bull came over for a chat, as he often did. The lad didn't recognise him. To sort things out I said to one of the stewards - could you tell this lad who that was? The answer came back in a broad and lovely Black Country accent. 'Who's that? That's Bully. He's a fookin' legend'. Point well made.

Just love watching you guys. You could lift the spirits of someone on death row! And even OMP made an appearance.. Wonderful.

This is what golf is about for so many of us good company, a bit of competition and the game of golf occasionally kicking us between the legs but we keep coming back. Pete always seems a real pleasure in the course easy to see why he was made captain the other year at his club.

actually played Shifnal on our golf society day a couple of years ago. We play once a month at some beautiful courses around the Midlands - Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. The staff at Shifnal were attentive and hospitable; the food was delicious and the course was in mint condition!! The members were welcoming and made a real effort with us. Perfectly manicured and the greens were quick! All in all, a stunning course and absolute gem. Would also recommend South Staffs, Gaudet Luce and Droitwich, not forgetting Bewdley Pines.
