Since I have no frame of reference, I can only comment on what I have seen. I think all of these hidden gems are just spectacular! Not only are the courses beautiful, the scenery is amazing! My ancestors came over to the colonies in the late 1600's...but I love everything I see!!! It's all so beautiful! Thanks to you Liam and EBay Pete for showing us around!

One of them, the views are magnificent. Pity you never got to Dunstanburgh Castle, just down the road. Every summer they host the 3 Castles golf festival with Alnwick. Hard to get a spot, well subscribed, #itsgoodupnorth

Great course again. The views are fantastic. That first tee can be a bit of a knee trembler if the wind blows the wrong way. I once got my review of Bamburgh posted in Today's Golfer. It deserves all the plaudits it gets. Northumberland has some quality courses and should not be overlooked when planning a golf trip. Well done.

played Bamburh Castle about 30 years ago, Had a great day even through the hale storms. We were the only ones on the course and the steward waited until we finished and made us all soup and sandwich's afterwards. Great course and great hospitality all for just a £5, those were the days😊😊.

I love this course,s o much. Fun, but with some tough holes. 15, 16, and 17 are three great holes together. The fact that I've had my only eagle to date on the 17th has nothing to do with why I like it so much. Absolutely worth the trip. The food in the clubhouse is brilliant too.

Your hidden gem series are just great. So far this year you have visited three that I have played on my own golf travels - Nefyn, Goswick, and Bamburgh. Last year you inspired me to go play Llanymynech, and I'm off to Fraserburgh later in the year because of watching your Scottish odyssey last year. As a landscape artist specialising in golf course art, when I play I care as much about the scenery as the golf challenge, but quite frankly the two usually go together. Can't wait to see where else you slated in to play this series.

It's one club then inside one and drop. On a Spring Bank holiday in 1978 as a 9 year old I hit a 3 iron up and down that beach, it rained every day then too.

Played there when taking school children,from Derby, camping. Friend and I played before the kids were up and about. Last day we both chipped in on the 18th as the green keeper stepped aside astonished that we were playing the 18th at 8.30 never mind chipping in. Annual membership was £14 per year in 1975
