The PRP website says their XJ adapters eliminate the stock seatbelt. Did you have any issues retaining the stock seatbelt? Is there enough room between the adapter plate and the tunnel for the stock seatbelt to move with the seat when sliding it forward or backward? Seats look great, BTW. Thanks for the video!
@2AOverland Жыл бұрын
No problem thank you for watching! I’m not sure why PRP says that cause I didn’t have any seatbelt issues with my 1996 XJ

@GSTrophyLisaАй бұрын
Stock seatbelts work fine. However, I did add a couple washers to the mount to shift the seat inward a bit to keep the seat from rubbing on the plastic that covers the seatbelt. Also, these seats sit a tad higher, so if you are super tall, they may not work for you. I absolutely love mine!
@granitesand7810 ай бұрын

@granitesand78 no problem man! You could always get some early model seat belts and drill a hole in the floor too 😬 but the bracket could work too

@@2AOverland I just pulled my seat and the belt catch actually seems to attach to the lower slider instead of the seat itself. So I think actually it’ll be ok, once I get my PRPs I’ll see final fitment but I think it should work. They throw us off by saying it eliminates the stock belt lol.

My jeep is a 96, I wonder what changed seat bracket wise from 88-94 to 95-01? That’s strange. I would give them a call and see if it would still work or you might have to buy some 95 and up seat brackets and adapt them to your rig 😅

Hey, I was wondering your height and weight.. I am 6'1 235. Did you order them wider or taller? I noticed on their site they have numerous options.. Given my terrible luck with these situations.. I may travel to their store. considering they can't be returned. nice video.. i would have never found these if I hadn't watched
@2AOverland3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching man we appreciate it! I’m 6’0 & 215 and it fits me like a glove. To the point that we’re offroad and hitting good sized bumps and rocks and I’m not moving at all. I ordered the regular size seat and didn’t go wide or tall with it. It is crappy that they don’t have measurements on their site for seat width and height 😬. I would say play it safe and go a little wider if you can and for me the seat is plenty tall so I wouldn’t worry about that.
@2AOverland3 жыл бұрын
I would call them direct and ask them the dimensions of the daily driver seat and then compare it to your body measurements! Or if they are close enough to you it might be worth it to travel to their store. Or find a dealer in your area and try one out! It would suck to pay all that money and you end up hating the seat cause you don’t fit in it or it’s not comfortable to you 😅

How is the 1 piece seat for long distances? Are they suspension seats? I thought about those for my JK and have wondered if I really need the tilt back style. We are just finishing up our 4000 mile road trip in the JK and the stock seats need to be replaced for more comfortable ones...
@2AOverland3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Todd! We drove the jeep from Mesa to flagstaff and back and the seats felt great! And the wheeling we did the seats were even better since they’re bucket seats. So you didn’t get jostled around on obstacles! We felt the same way knowing we didn’t need seats that tilted back cause we have all of our gear behind us and we couldn’t tilt the seat back anyways. I did notice that mine have a slight tilt naturally. And From my knowledge they’re not suspension seats, they’re made from a dense foam that I think will hold up over time.
@toddhoffmaster60573 жыл бұрын
@@2AOverland good to know. The suspension part now vs old is stretch webbing below the foam instead of springs on the frame. I can see the problem with getting in/out on a lifted vehicle which will cause that part of the seat to wear faster.
@2AOverland3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t know that! I wish I would of known that for the video lol. That’s our main concern too is rubbing on that part of the seat and have premature wear. I hope it stands up for a long time before we have to replace it.
