You can put on “replace gamertags” in the options menu. It replaces everyone’s name with generic names. It helps streamers so they don’t have potentially harmful names on their screen.

I usually scuttle if I’m solo tucking, that way there’s no chance of my ship being spotted on the horizon. I also leave my rowboat pretty far out and swim the rest of the way, so the only thing that can give me away is a bad merm.
