Al, there are a lot of clean up songs for children. My littles march and sing while putting toys away. It's not the perfect job that I would like but it's a learning curve and sometimes when a toy goes missing I just tell them that if they would put the toys back into their "home" they would be there waiting for them to play with.

What a beautiful home! It looks new, did you have it built? Kiddos can be a challenge when it comes to clean up. If they fail to clean up after themself’s, they learn it’s ok to leave a mess. Sure, they won’t clean as well as an adult, but giving them a “ job” to help clean, will be a life long lesson. Good luck, cause those “ littles” are extremely smart! Btw, that knife is awesome!

My son had so, so many LEGOS, when our grandson was a little tike he loved to play with his uncles LEGOS, but when it came time to pick up he quickly lost interest in LEGOS. so I walked over to the phone, picked it up and called the LEGO police. After that ten second phone call picking up was never an issue. Now my son and my grandson are both dads, son’s kids added many LEGOS to the stash their Dad had, and they weren’t fond of picking up either. It’s got to just be a kid thing. One thing I think is way different now than when my kiddos were young is that most of them have way more toys than children from a couple of generations ago, and earlier generations went outside to play, this younger generation spends many hours a day on some device that is about to become permanently attached to their hands, and don’t go outdoors to play. As far as Al and Shilo’s children go, they are not whiney brats, they aren’t constantly crying and wanting attention, so if there are toys scattered around I’ll take that any day over whiney, crying kids! 😊

Shiloh I feel you …. so OCD with my own decorating, constantly adjusting! May I make a suggestion? Put up a mini tree in the playroom and let the kids decorate it. I am in my 60’s always had a themed tree that I decorated, was very particular, looking back now wished I had put up one just for my kids 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hello Al and Shiloh That tree is beautiful Shiloh. I love all the decorations here and there. Keep them coming. 😊❤ I would like to say that just because Shiloh wants things clean and to look a certain way and is willing to work on it until she's happy with it, it does not mean she haa "OCD going on" as I saw stated in a comment. I also think it's unkind to make such remarks. You have no idea what it's like for someone that actually has OCD and it's not funny. Nothing about what they deal with is funny. I enjoy Al and Shiloh's vlog. They have two, very precious children. Shiloh cleans the playroom one time and several people are telling them they should teach their children to pick up after themselves. It is not our place to tell them how to raise their children. They have done a wonderful job. They have a loving home and well behaved children. How do you know they don't help??? Please don't have them stop the vlog because you start telling them what they should or should not do with their children. That's a very personal matter. I'm 65 and these are my opinions. There are just some things people should not say. Shiloh is a wonderful wife and Mom. She is a wonderful homemaker and takes pride in what she does. It's important to her. She does it because she wants to. Al, I did not see the snake. Now I have to go back and find the video and watch it again and look for it. I always worried about you getting bit by a snake in all the yards you makeover. I thought "how can a knife be loud" You got me on that one Al.😅 Loved how the chickens went back in their coup so calmly. I always wanted chickens. Thank you for another day.
