Glad Nicky had a good day and is making progress, always forward. Oh goodness my dogs used to be the same way with our couches, I finally got them a small futon just for them. They love "their couch" and no one else better sit on it 😂

Recent studies have shown that echolalia is a coping mechanism for children with autism to communicate when they cannot produce spontaneous speech.

It’s absolutely amazing to see Nicky notice is anything looks differnt (your mouth in this video) or you intonation. Gosh, he picks up on that in a split second. One smart cookie that Nicky is! Ever think of asking Mrs Harrison if Nicky could do some part of taking care of the chickens every morning and at to his morning meeting? I’m sure they may be fed already but maybe give them a snack or can he clean up part of the chicken coop? And maybe eventually work on doing that independently from your house to hers. Idk , just spitballing some ideas as a former educator

I’ve always said that behavior is a nonverbal form of communication. It only makes sense that a person whose expressive language is not fully functional would be able to interpret others’ body language, tone of voice, energy levels, etc.

We started off teaching our son emotions using signs. Good day-thumbs up, tough day-thumbs down or so-so-by moving hand back and forth. It helped him express how he was feeling and reinforced that it’s ok to have a bad day or moment. We would also share how our day was so he saw that we all had different emotions. Just wanted to share.😊

To be honest… this is the happiest “I told you so” ever. Occzams razor situation. Simplest answer is the best answer. Just take him through the womens. Period. He is a disabled male. She is the female caregiver. She takes him through the females

Does Nick usually get up set up easily like Johnny mentioned over the muffin, that’s surprising. Maybe Nick was really hungry but that’s concerning. Wish life wasn’t so challenging for Nicky

Sorry, men do not belong in the women's change room. I know Nicky is innocent and doesn't care but it's a safe space for women. If the space is completely empty, then maybe but that's pushing it. my husband would not take our teenage daughter into a men's room, we would find a facility that works for us. I feel like you almost have this expectation for people to accommodate Him? That would be nice for our kiddos but it's not reality. I fell like the way you titles this video is also attention grabbing and I'm sorry it's off putting.
