That's what happens when you get a 4 year college starter. Most seem to think that a 4 year starter is only as such cause they think they may not do well in the NFL. Sadly most high drafted QBs are drafted based on starting 1 year but having an amazing year. I mean SF is guilty of this too with Trey Lance. Dude was the starter for only 1 season in college but balled out so he was taken high. It's sad that a 3 or 4 year college starter is seen as a bad thing g these days.

Purdy is like the STOCKFISH Chess App that scans the playing field for the best possible move and in one second, figures out what that move is and makes the best possible play. This skill can't be taught and is learned through years of experience combined with IQ. Average QBs may take 3 seconds or longer to figure out what to do and by that time, they're sacked or the play is too late to execute. Also Purdy can buy extra time with his scrambling ability to allow his teammates to get open.

George Kittle has always been rated as one of the top two tight ends and football. Deebo Samuel in only his 2nd year made the Pro Bowl and has been consistently making defenders understand why. McCaffrey? He's been great everywhere he's played. The system is unique given Shanahan's talents but 11 straight wins don't happen if those on the field don't execute his plays extremely well. This coming from a 49ers fan for life since 1979, this is the best 49ers team in the history of the franchise. Yes, I got to see the Montana/Clark/Craig/Rice/Taylor/Young/Sanders/Kaepernick/Crabtree etc. teams in all their glory (and yes, it was glorious!). Yet, this roster, this current team at full health, with Purdy at the helm, Samuel, McCaffrey, Kittle, Aiyuk, McCloud, and Mitchell on offense as well as Mr. "Rack up the Sacks" Bosa on defense... this 22-23 49ers team, is the best we have ever had. Nay sayers about Purdy need to honestly relax. The dude is AH-mazing and is continuing to prove it week after week. His ability to make plays even after the pocket collapses, has defenders riding his ass, he still pulls off a TD!?! That's not luck. That's not "following a simple system." It's definitely not just "getting the job done." That is poise. Confidence. Patience. Focus. Drive. Skill. This kid is not just good, he is hot, and he knows it. The team trusts him, and that speaks volumes to his coolness under pressure, his focus and let's just face it, his skill. He has more experience than anyone who hasn't seen his college career even realizes. Anyhow, this team in points, numbers, consecutive wins, and just about every other calculable stat is the best 49ers team in history. Now, let's go get number 6!!! Prediction, 49ers to win SB LVII 38-13 vs whoever they end up playing.

Watching the wild card games, the one thing Purdy has above the other quarterbacks is his ability to pick the open receiver. Super Bowl Champions, of course. Kittle said perfectly in a recent presser, "Brock is one of the very few D1 QBs that started all four years in their collegiate career." Also, Kittle continued, "because of Lance's injury, Brock played with the practice team which put him head-on with our starting D-team." These two elements alone have put him in a place to be ready, equipped and talented to step in and dominate. Let's also give Brock a lot of credit for being a great pocket QB and having great vision. He doesn't lean on check-down assignments-he is always looking up-field for pockets to hit. He is a great athlete and he has an incredible football IQ. He is not a facilitator, he's a general. It each member has stepped up to do a job. Dallas will be hard but I believe that they have the arsenal to complete the job.

Dude, the 49ers went 2-14 in 1979. Remember Steve DeBerg? After a couple good years in early 1970s, we stunk the rest of the decade. We came to life in 1981, and the 49ers were so good, that if not for a blown playoff loss to Redskins (horrible PI call) and another freak playoff loss later, 49ers should have had at least 2 more SB wins in the 80’s. I think they bowed out to Vikings too after going 14-2. Then there was that Roger Craig fumble vs Giants when leading 13-12 late in 1990, Krappernick 4 meek attempts at the 2-Yd line to win a SB in 2012, but choked vs Ravens. Then Jimmy G’s overthrown pass that would have beaten Chiefs 3 yrs ago. Oh the chances galore, and it goes on and on.

I think you pretty much nailed it. The 49ers potentially are hitting an even higher power band currently. The critics that say Purdy is only doing good because he has a great group of talented players around him do not understand that it's far from as simple as that. A bunch of individual talents is one thing but playing cohesively and efficiently as a team in the NFL is quite another. Purdy is playing his position incredibly well which is the first hurdle in a long line for a team to play great together.

Coming from a guy who lived in the bay area from 1979 to 2022 Brock Purdy is the Best QB to play for the Niners since Joe Montana or Steve Young. Anyone that doesn't think the 49ers are going all the way is living in a cave or heavily in denial. Their offense and defense are both what is needed to win the Super Bowl. Nobody deserves to win more. Take it from a guy that saw the first 5 Super Bowl wins up close. They Can do it and they Will do it.

One thing about Purdy that is vastly underrated is his ability to move and avoid danger. He keeps composure even while running away from pressure and is able to find good openings without creating a turnover. He also understands when he can make a run for it and keeps himself safe. Kyle is an incredible coach but when his plan fails Purdy can improvise which is something Jimmy didn't have. If only Aiyuk caught that last pass, everyone would be talking about that play.

49ers + Purdy = UNLOCKED. Our Niners are entering the playoffs completely unleashed also with the return of Deebo and Mitchell, WHAAT??? LFGO NINERS!!! The only way we could be stronger was if we had Moseley/Verrett available but as is we are the best team in the NFL. Our D gets better as the games go on because of our depth on the D-Line with the return of Armstead and Kinlaw w Kocurek rotating multiple DAWGS in the trenches while other D-lines get tired ours stays fresh and actually wears out any teams O-line so as the game goes into the 2nd half, 3rd, 4th quarters with wave after wave of DAWGS thrashing that same 5 O-linemen, the damn will break for us, so no matter how a team starts or possibly hangs with us (if they can) if we just keep playing our game we're an effing juggernaut! And with each game Purdy is only going to keep getting better learning what he can and can't get away with, refining his already great decision making thus equalling better execution. The tape has been out on him now for 6 starts and there are still NO ANSWERS. We didn't have ANY of this going on against KC btw (I remember us getting smoked there but it will be different this time). As always, Go Niners!!!

It's not the number in the Draft that determines how well you will do... it's the performance on the field WITH the supporting cast you are given which ultimately matters! (Remember Troy Aikman #1 pick, 1st season 0-11... What an introduction but what a career) Admittedly Purdy was thrown in as an unknown quantity this season so the opposition had very little intel on him.... The first four opponents he faced (Mia, Tampa, Seattle, Washington) had a combined record AT THE TIME HE PLAYED THEM of 28-22-1 and they all were striving to get into the playoff! Blew them away!.. again admittedly with an excellent D. I am pretty sure, at first, he was asked to "manage" the games but with confidence he has quickly grown. You could almost feel his nervousness in the play off game against Seattle but boy did he explode in the second half!... A true test will come against Dallas who I am sure will try to get after him but if the O-Line can keep him clean for the first 2/3 possesions I am convinved he will have a decent game... Will it be enough?... I for one hope so (Love to see the underdog do well). What a dilemma next season with Lance & Purdy scenario if SF go on to WIN the Super Bowl

If, and I say IF, the NFL is rigged like a lot of people are starting to think, the Super Bowl will be 49ers vs. Bills, and here's why. No rookie QB has ever started a Super Bowl. "Mr. Irrelevant," a 3rd string QB, very last picked in the draft leading his team to the Super Bowl would make for boosts in ticket sales and TV audiences. The Bills... After what happened to Damar Hamlin, what better story to tell for the Super Bowl. The NFL would have 2 weeks of non-stop stories and headlines if those two teams went to the Super Bowl

Win or lose, riding with Purdy and that Deadly Defense. ANY team can be dominant when healthy and 100% effective. Winning is attractive and spirits gain momentum and happiness. Which inverts into well-rounded chemistry team. Brock mindset is beyond our imagination or at least expected. And Defense is always great to have since we have all seen what the 1986 Giants did, along with the 2000 Ravens and 2002 Buccs. Defense to me is more important in the playoffs than offense but when you have both like the SF 49ers have it. It's just amazing and it's definitely a story to tell for decades to come.

This team is built to win a Super Bowl. We're loaded with stars (most of which we actually developed. Paying attention, Rams?) on both sides of the ball, and we've got maybe the best offensive play-caller AND perhaps the best defensive play-caller. We lead the league in turnovers, we lead the league in points allowed, AND with BCB, we can compete in a shootout, too. If there were stats for "best second-half adjustments," we'd also lead the league. The 49ers are freakin' invincible in the second half of games. Does all that mean we're guaranteed to win even one more playoff game? Absolutely not. This is a ruthless league with no weak teams left in the NFC. The Cowboys could be a test, and it's impossible to say the result. It might be a defensive war, or if one team is on and the other off, it could be a blowout in either direction. If we survive that, we should get the Eagles, who match up better against the 49ers than any other team in the NFL. Of course, if we win THAT, we most likely get a rematch against the Chiefs, who destroyed us earlier this year. But if Shanahan can't get it done with this team, I don't know what to tell you. This is going to be his best shot at the Lombardi. Teams don't get much better than this.
