Can’t let the fish pull too much drag when your fishing a reef. Gotta horse them out first before you play them.

What’s the best combos for trolling and those reefers? Are you using 30/0?40/0? 4000-6000? Spinning 7ft or so? I’m just getting into sport and trying to figure out best equipment!

Any 5000 reel will do I like a 7ft rod or a little bigger so is can maneuver around my Kayak. I use 30 pound braid on all my trolling setups. On my bottom reels I 50 pound braid

What’s your offshore kayak? Any recommendations for 250 lbs+? Do you prefer the paddle over the pedal drive?
@YakinwithJack17 күн бұрын
I would go with a hobie pro angler. They are a wide and super stable kayak. And great offshore

Is that in Navarre?

I coming to Destin with my yak May 14-18. You trying to hit the reefs?

If you're only 2 miles offshore? Red Snapper is always in season. Up to 3 miles offshore you can keep 2 per day 20 inches
