They can only switch it to covert in a covert situation. Like when the search gardens for a burglar for instance. They dont want flashing lights giving their position away in the dark. Very easy explanation on the number plates. What they do is park their personal vehicles in the compound. Police vehicles then park outside illegally. So why are they doing this? It's to gain a financial advantage by abuse of position. Namely free parking, no risk of parking tickets. Personal enrichment. The video of personal vehicles is the admission of corruption. The videoing of the vehicles is the evidence. They don't want that evidence gathered because they lose their jobs, and their perks.

And within ten metres of a junction, obstructing a pedestrian crossing. There was no emergency. They should have continued further along to a safe spot & parked, without unnecessarily causing increased risk to the public. They do state that they have a duty of care when AB is on the road though. Pathetic really.

He does this every day. It must get emotionally wearing going into fractious confrontation all the time. Clearly he was in a light playful mood. It was fun and refreshing. The complete opposite of a Yorkshire auditor I was watching a little while ago who was throwing the word "tyrant" around indiscriminately and always has this mean snarky nasal laugh. Kind of leaves a weird bad taste after a while. I enjoyed this one. AB disarmed them all the same, without having to get heavy.

So: "Not really interested in talking to you guys, I want to talk to that guy with the boat. Hey! Come back!" I thought that was funny. I think if he was having an off day, and that disenchanted, he'd have gone home, and certainly not release a video where he couldn't be assed with the whole thing. 😉

Hi A B, this encounter starts with a woman who does eventually tell you who she is and why she wants to ask questions, she says that she has to do this for 'security' reasons, she does not seem to understand that observation, photography and filming cannot possible pose any sort of threat to anyone or anything, it seems that she just has neurotic issues about people in general, not surprising really given the tide of negative propaganda spewing out all over the mainstream media. She does manage to explain what services are available, as if the people there really do want the general public to know what they are doing, having said that they want to be totally transparent it then turns into a very clear desire to control the output and censor what gets published and they want to know more about you than they want to tell you about themselves. Good work well done!. After about eleven minutes another cop, wearing his wet suit and not introducing himself and explaining why he want to talk to you, he does not want to have any sort of two-way conversation with you, he just wants you to answer his questions. He digs out another pair who also start asking questions in a very rude and unpleasant manner, as per usual you treat them with the jocular disdain they deserve, being far more amiable than they deserve, eventually they tell you that they have been sent out to talk to you but still cannot give any good reason for doing so, all that copwaffle about security is utter bollocks!, there is nothing in the guidelines and rules of engagement that authorises stopping and asking questions of members of the public just because someone has asked them to. His attempt at telling you that it was the police who put that bad man in jail when as you pointed out it was the CPS and the court that did all that. When you chide him on the BWC issue he argues, what part of the fact that he cannot use any of the footage as evidence if he has not told you beforehand so there is no point having it running. Cheers, Richard.
