Don’t worry about comments like that. Most of us anyways know that you guys are independent. I am not a patreon member yet , but that’s why I buy a lot of merch at your concerts. I definitely feel that since I love you so much and since I am such a huge fan and listen to you all the time that I need to represent that for you. Plus it gives me a good image. The Icon For Hire flag ( signed by Ariel ) is the dominant thing that people see in my room. If my friends are around me they already know that we’re going to be listening to Icon For Hire. Probably Diamante and The Prretty Reckless as well. And Halestorm 😆and The Warning 😆. Anyways, I think I might join your patreon too. Because I DO love you guys so very much and you really have helped me through some very troubling times in my life. Ariel, _seriously, don't worry about the haters_ (easier said than done, I understand) but come on, every song you've made has ended up in KZbin for free. AND THAT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH for some people, they never lived through HAVING TO BUY PHYSICAL MUSIC, AT 20 BUCKS A POP. even though I could get all your music for free, I still BOUGHT, EVERY ALBUM, SIGNED. BECAUSE, I would LOVE to hear you stay a band and explore your sound. I used to be the patron, and I will return to supporting you there shortly. But regarding the reason I stopped - to give you a slight advice, as maybe more people had a case like me: due to different timezone and busy life I couldn't join any of live/online events and I felt like not much was happening there for me. But then I saw the comment under previous video of someone suggesting you start putting instrumentals on your patreon and I can't stress enough how much I would love to just be able to karaoke one of your songs and even one instrumental a month would make it worth it for me to pay. I know, materialistic approach to support only if given something in return, but I rather say it loud if it has any chance of helping you keep more patrons in.

Having patrons gives them the power to bargain on a more equal footing with a label that is interested. With the support, they can take all the time they want until the right deal comes along. That was the path taken by The Warning, who produced their first EP and two albums with support from Patreon before signing with their label, which has led to two more successful albums so far.
