I think the main reason that coffee tends to have people jittering and direct is that people drink a lot more of it brewed a lot more strongly. Its not a magic difference between the two, its that people view coffee as a caffeine delivery system that happens to taste good, and tea as something that tastes good while delivering a small amount of caffeine.

@@MaDmOnStErQr And that's been americans' only view of tea ever since xD. Rest of the world barely even recalls that as something that happened xD. Most of the rest of the world sees tea as something the british stole from China / India, Can't even remember which, or if it was both. But there is a genuine difference in the culture. The only coffee culture, is from baristas, who invent things time and time again that do the exact same thing, just minutely better every time, and it's treated like a new age in coffee brewing xD. It's some of the most pretentious shit I've seen, when the improvement is about a 2% difference in taste. If you want tea culture, you gotta go to Asia. The british only imported the worst type of tea, and made it global. The asians still have the original stuff that made tea great in the first place.

tea is fine for guests. if you have for example multiple meetings having coffee as a drink would not be good so tea would fit.

Fair but tea has been more seen in meditative practices. Tea in India is more on mediations, Tea-making in Japan is another example. There are a lot of practices that use tea as a medium. Coffee doesn't have that historical culture. Of course, that doesn't mean that coffee can't be relaxing. Coffee shop culture is one thing that is very prominent though you can also see that there is a point that its more on a lively atmosphere.

10:16 Another big reason is the amount of people itself. If I watch a small streamer I will more actively chat, give feedback etc. If the streamer on the other hand has 10k viewers and 1k active people in chat then first of all the streamer probably won't even see your message, secondly the chat goes so fast you can't really hold conversations with other viewers, so at that point what can you do other than lean back and just watch without interacting. It's like going to someone's birthday party, with 10 guests you'll probably get to talk a lot with the person, with 1000 guests they might not even notice you're there and the noise makes it hard to keep a conversation with anyone at all.

The coffee vs tea dude honestly makes a good point. The thing with coffee is that it has more caffeine than tea already, but it also works into your blood stream way quicker where-as tea doesn't. This is because tea has different tannins (Tannic acid. Water-soluble polyphenols that are present in many plant foods) which slow the absorption of caffeine. It's similar to how addiction with cigars will be way less than cigarettes since even though both are tobacco products; cigarettes are inhaled while cigars are puffed on. Both differentiate between how fast a drug works into your blood stream.

You're not wrong about the amount of caffeine being greater in a typical cup of coffee -- but it is still the same caffeine. His point about culture was nonsense. We could swap the cultures associated with each beverage -- if there even is such a thing -- and we would still be drinking caffeine. This guy is just trying to make objective facts out of his personal preferences.

A counterpoint to the tea comment: Tea had also been associated with snooty nobility and aristocracy that are either privileged nonces or the disconnected ruling class. I'd rather say that both beverages have negative and positive stereotypes attached to them but neither should be counted as across-the-bar superior to the other when consumed only in moderation. Heck. I drink cheap coffee and cheap tea since I don't wanna splurge money on overpriced and overhyped brands
