That picture of the queen Ranavalona I you showed is not representative of how she actually looks, it’s more like a fantasy painting. There is no representation of her or of no other kings or queens before her. All Malagasy monarchs had darker skin all around the Island, even in the Antananarivo region because of the alliances that has been made between kingdoms in order to keep peace, and wedding was a diplomacy tool. Even the early monarchs from Antananarivo had much more African and Bantu appearance compared to the rest of the population. I guess people still use theses unrealistic paintings because they absolutely need a representation of Kings and Queens, especially foreigners.

This guy comments in every videos related to the "South East Asian looking" people of Madagascar to try to re-write history and erase their heritage. But the archeological and scientific evidences are there: the world knows the Kings and Queens of Antananarivo were South East Asians looking, could be "darker skin Asians" but not Bantu. The last Queen, Ranavalona III, is mixed but doesn't look mostly Bantu.

Lovely video & interesting history about what their Queen did to Christians. Christ said at another high place at Ceaserea Philippi that He was going to build His church & that the gates of hell were not going to overcome it. Amazing that the same place where Christians we’re martyred, there’s a church showing the love of God to the people.

Thanks! Wow! Interesting history! Magadascar is surely a hidden gem. It needs more exposure to attract more non-French speaking tourists to visit. Unique diversity of people and cultures. 🇺🇸👍🏿

Beautiful place and people but one difference from Brazil is that we can't drive and be in the car without seatbelts.
