It got very quiet and I got up to see what was happening - they had forgotten I was there and had locked up and left for the day! A similar thing happened to me being locked in. In Melbourne the beautiful grounds of an old church. I too was sitting on a chair when the security person locked the gates. The difference was the walls were not as high and a friend was on the other side coaxing me to climb up and heave myself over....let me say, I'm a 50+ year old unfit woman but somehow I managed to get over. I had put in a call to the church and the next day I had a very apologetic Priest on the phone. Thanks for the lovely video, as always, I feel soothed and warm inside. I do hope your Dad is well, Nicki. PS - I could watch Carlos in the garden all day long, he really is memorizing. And I don't just mean he is a hunk :)

You father is such a great treasure. I once got locked in my own home as it was gated. My neighbors finally rescued me as they had a key to the iron gate that inexplicably malfunctioned. Quite panic producing. So glad you can spend time with your dad, and he is well. Someone has to say it, and I will. I was shocked that no one had looked after your beautiful garden! You once told us that if fed about 20 people in Carlo's family. You two shared that garden's abundance, and your work, with so many. What happened to the brother who lived upstairs? For those of us who have followed you since the beginning, it was heartbreaking to see Carlo and the pups in that overgrown mess. It was disrespectful of your years of effort. If there is no reasonable explanation, then "The Tuscan Diaries" will be just great. ❤️

I recently left a house in an idyllic area to move back to my home state and everyone is always saying “How could you bear to leave?” We have seasons in the year, seasons in our lives, and we do what we have to do when we have to do it. If we turn it into a gut-wrenching experience, who suffers? We do. So we just do what we have to do when we have to do it and enjoy each place for what it is. ❤

I love your interaction as a couple. I am a retired. Clinical psychologist who actually did some couples therapy many years ago. I decided you couldn’t pay me enough to spend time with people who hated each other. In any case, you are a role model the other thing that definitely comes through is that you are genuinely nice people. I just came back for a month in Tuscany and was reminded of how nice and kind of people were in my neighborhood. It is very different where I live in Palo Alto, California. Living in the middle of Silicon Valley, you do not seem very much human kindness or community. It is a place where only the successful survive. Steve Jobs used to live three blocks from me. He was not the nicest human being in the world. Enjoy life.

Hi Carlo here, with the work you did there is no doubt that you can understand people better and faster than the rest of us, I have my theory on people, you didn't ask me but I want to share with you some of my thoughts on this topic ; people are human beings, each one can be very different from the others, many resemble each other (inside) but no one is the same as the other, the place, the color of the skin, the religion, sexual orientation, and a thousand other "parameters" can modify some aspects of our lives, but in the end only the actions we do that define us, and not what we really think, I believe that the luckiest are those who have good thoughts, and who above all are capable of expressing them and putting them into action, sometimes we have difficulty understanding ourselves, and even the best psychologist can have difficulty entering our thoughts!💕😘👋
